how to tighten preload on rear spring

I see where my rear spring has a rotating collar with progressively tighter stops. It is on 1 now, we bottom occasionally at bumps (I know, I know, we are overloading it).

Putting more tension on the spring will increase resistance to bottoming, correct?

What sort of wrench would grab those... teeth? to let me turn the collar? Or is that one to leave for the dealer when it goes in for service?

    TIA-

Hopefully the tool kit is in your bike. There's a "Hook Wrench" included in it to adjust the preload on the rear spring - Click image for larger version.

When all else fails, read the manual. Thanks, yes, I have the tool, had it the whole time.

I'm so embarrassed. (not really- I have lots of ways I've screwed up over the years!)
