I always felt this was true but never really looked into it. Thanks Steve!
Yeah, I have my first service scheduled for tomorrow in Chico at 08:00, so I'll be leaving here at 06:00. I just hope that I can get in and get out so that I can get back up to the mountains before it gets too hot. I'll be curious to see the oil change procedure with the internal filter piece, so that I don't loose that piece in the future when I change my own oil. The ride down the hill to Chico is always fun until you reach the valley.
Still haven't met up. For those that don't know, Skutorr now lives about 35 miles from me. Some of those pics in my Sierra Foothills ride are just a few miles from him. I haven't done much riding this summer, for various reasons, Other than the trip I just took.
Have you been out yet? If your haven't, head south on 41 to North Fork road (stoplight and park & ride there) head to North Fork, it's a nice road, one of my favorites even if it's only 15 miles long. If you decide you want to continue through the town of North Fork, the road makes a turn just after the Chevron, drops down and comes to Road 274. Make the turn towards Bass Lake (there is a sign) about 10 miles you'll be along Bass lake. Keep on that road, 274, and you'll eventually get back on 41 just on the other end of Coarsegold.
How about this heat huh?!
