I got lucky when I went to waste time from the service department to the showroom of my local BMW Motorrad. I spotted a C650gt with a givi rack mounted. Does this scooter come with cases? I asked... No, was the answer. So would you consider selling me the rack ? Sure but you have to remove it...
First belt last to 39,673 kms. Second belt lasted 254 kms before it torn apart. The replacement wasn't much better roughly 400 kms. This factory one now has more than 10,000 kms to date. Odometer reads 59,680
I have to give my "two cents worth" here about those belts. I have a 2013 Gt and have gone thru three belts. The factory BMW belts are of a higher quality than the cheaper ones. You always get what you pay for. Went thru two cheaper ones before the factory spec. allows me the confidence to...
G day Rollacosta, yes it does come off. It's not too pretty without, but can be done. I pull the "bump" off to put down a seat cushion of sheepskin, then remount the "bump" thru the sheep cover. IKEA has great ones that are pure/real sheep, not man made.
Mine also, Jaywm, left it over the whole winter without trying to start it or move it. Mine is also a Yuasa YTX14-BS. It must have been frozen...let me know what you went with. I think I'll go to a battery recyclers and get a fresh start. 🤔 Calgary, Alberta
It's because they fail. If the part doesn't work replace it with a re-engineered better part. I have a 2013 with 54,000 kms and when the dealer installed the new hydraulic one, it changed the bike by leaps and bounds, especially during rapid deceleration.
Ok...prove me wrong. The ones I saw were just that. Poorly designed. Besides your mounting them on plastic...at 100+kph they are only pavement markers...IMHO
