    Broken Tail Light

From https://unfinished.bike/skene-lights-installation-on-the-bmw-ce-04 I noted a little bit about the colors, but they do change at each connection point, and I probably different between the left and the right indicator. Here's my guess: - Brown: Ground - Blue: Turn Signal - Lavender/Red...

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

I'll be curious to find out if they fit the US-spec CE 04. AFAIK, the blinker assembly is subtly different from the international version. 🍿

Dark Smoke Puig on Avantgarde Model

@2Wheelz - Now that you've had the Puig for a while, how do you like it versus the tall windscreen?

Hidden tool storage in the helmet compartment

Yup! That's a MotoPumps Air Shot, along with a Dynaplug Xtreme (IMHO, overkill). I hate riding around with my top case, so I used to keep these in my side bag until I realized there was wasted space below. :)

Hidden tool storage in the helmet compartment

In the back of the helmet compartment is a small area you might not have noticed much. It's an awkward indentation that is just enough to fit a set of emergency tools (air compressor, bike tool, torx wrench set, tire plug kit): How are they staying in place? Velcro! I added two strips on the...

CE-04 Tire thread: longevity, range, replacements

Update: the stock Maxxis Supermaxx SC rear tire still has 2mm of wear at the center wear bars, with 5877mi/9458km on the odometer. I am planning to replace the rear tire when I take the bike in for the 10,000km maintenance. I've been waiting for Heidenau K66's to show up, but they haven't been...

    Floor board removal

You can see the two tabs - fore and one aft, they seem quite sturdy and difficult to break. They went back into place with no issue after pounding on the floorboard with my palm.

    Floor board removal

Here's a picture showing where the screw is. I just tugged on this part of the floorboard with my fingers.

    Floor board removal

You know what, I yanked a little harder at the right spot and it revealed the screw hole mentioned in the picture without a big fuss. I'll have to try setting the skirt up properly now.

NIce find! Where'd you find out about the battery type?

    remind me...when can I recharge my ce04

I charge my CE-04 every day - with 5,700 miles, I haven't seen degradation yet. BMW already reserves 4.5% of the CE-04 battery capacity as unfilable slack to maintain battery health - you only get to use 8.5 of the 8.9kWh capacity. There is so little range available that I'm not going to baby...

    Floor board removal

For those of you curious what we're talking about, it's step 6 from https://cdn.0brandcommerce.com/tucanourbano/pdf/R233PRO.pdf I, too, tried yanking the rubber floor board upwards - while it gave a little, it also had enough resistance that I didn't want to force it. I see now from the...

Need help installing a new Lateral Trim Panel (left side)

How'd you end up doing with this? I haven't seen any instructions, but feel like it should be workable by attacking every screw you can find with a set of torx wrenches.

    Floor board removal

I couldn't figure it out either, so I skipped this installation step with the Termoscut. I'd like to figure it out though for proper fitment.

    Tucano leg cover.

I finally ordered and received the Leg Cover Termoscud® PRO (R233Pro) this week. It was more difficult than expected as I couldn't find a seller that would ship to the USA, but I eventually stumbled upon an Italian dealer selling them on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/str/storepogliani Here are the...

Does the CE04 range drop dramatically at sustained 70mph?

That's great news @AustinChase ! I agree with @jorgebri60. My rule of thumb for packing a charger cable is to bring the cable if I absolutely have to charge to get through my day, and I'm not going to be around a city with multiple charging options. That said, I've never used my own charger...

Does the CE04 range drop dramatically at sustained 70mph?

TL;DR - You'll be fine. Depending on your exact speeds, you'll use up ~60% of the battery for the round trip. The energy required to overcome wind resistance is cubic to velocity, so yeah, going 70 mph requires substantially more energy than 65mph. Similarly, 75mph requires a lot more than...

    Moto-camping with the CE-04: a ride report!

We made a day of going to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, where I found my spirit animal, the Colorado River Toad. I had read about the psychotropic characteristics of this species as a teenager and soon referred to my peers as “toadblowers” for reasons I still don’t understand. The next...

    Moto-camping with the CE-04: a ride report!

I went a little out of my way to check out Seagrove, the Pottery Capital of the United States. There are more working potters per capita here than anywhere else in the US. Every building in the town seemed to cater to pottery somehow. Heading south down via Ether Rd & Okeewemee (meaning...
