Just a wee heads up!
After two years of owning this baby ;) I still love it, and to be honest  it's a keeper
I had a few teething problems at first, but with help from here and other sources, I've had trouble free miles ever since
When I first got it it rattled  timing chain tensioner! it's a cheap fix and anyone who can hold a spanner can do it themselves
I stripped it down to the bones, and replaced every drop of fluid, new belt and rollers and even replaced both front discs
I adjusted the rear suspension to suit, and stuck two new black round things (Bridgestone) either end
Got my mate to cut out some vinyl to make it look a wee bit different
And that's it...........

It's had it's ass kicked since ;)

It's given me miles of trouble free enjoyment, and still puts a smile on my face every time we go out together

So if your thinking about one of these beauts  go for it (y)

I've added my other weapon, which I equally enjoy riding :giggle:

Great choice of bikes. Color strips look sharp on the GT and love the Corbin seat on the Triumph. I've had four Corbins. A few years ago, I was in Corbin's Florida showroom waiting for a seat install on my 2016 Burgman 650 and sat on Mike Corbin's Triumph, which he keeps in the showroom so he can ride during visits from California. Guy can afford any bike in the world and chooses a classic Triumph.

I'm on my 5th BMW C 650 GT. Current is a 2019 in matte blue at 10,500 miles. Wasn't crazy about the matte paint at first because I love shiny bikes, but it always looks clean with almost zero effort. Dab a little water on the tupperware, wipe with microfiber cloth and it's ready for the showroom. I have a new belt from Carpimoto that I will put on at 15,000 miles with Dr. Pulley sliders. Looking forward to that performance upgrade -- I know from experience the Dr. Pulley sliders really add zing to the midrange of the GT.

Btw, based on your profile location, and the fact that I learned this summer my DNA is 25% Scottish (ancestors date back to the 1500's from the isle of Islay on the west coast), I looked up the annual weather for Dundee. Your hottest month of July, with average temps of 67/56, compares to South Florida's COLDEST month of January with average temps of 77/57. I imagine the heated seat and grips on the GT are well used in Scotland!

Wow 25% Scottish (y) not bad, and a lot better than having any English in your DNA ;)

That 25% would help you keep warm in Dundee

And I suppose you'll love the golden nectar too, as Islay is home to some of the best Distillery's in Scotland 🥃

The Triumph is ace  and that seat! as well as being aesthetically pleasing, it's really comfy, and gives me a wee bit extra lift

Stay safe and thanks for the comments :giggle:
