Take a look.

2015 Honda NM4 Arriving in June- First Look Review- Photos- Price

It looks like they are still trying to bridge the gap between maxi scooters and conventional motorcycles. The problem is that the big V twin bike owners like to brag about there floorboards and they are tiny compared to a maxi scooters and they still don't have the leg room.

With Harleys new factory in India producing the new water cooled street 500 and 750, There is change in the air. Harley making a 3 or 4 cylinder inline engine or even a scooter? Impossible you say. I think its closer than you think. Harleys own marketing found that in 2000 the average age of there buyers were 46, in 2008 it was 59. Every manufacturer knows that if your going to sell to the X and Y generation you need to change.

The only constant about life is change. You can only build and sell products designed in the beginning of the last century to those that were alive then. That's all they know and old habits die hard.

Bmw,s marketing saw this and called it urban mobility.

Harley already has a scooter under their belt. It's called the Topper, was built in the 50's and it looked like this....

I like the way it looks. The industry seems to be taking cautious steps towards making riding an easier experience. Your observation that, "You can only build and sell products designed in the beginning of the last century to those that were alive then. That's all they know and old habits die hard" is spot on. Old Harley guys kind of shake their heads at my Sport - their kids however completely get it.

I think it belongs in the new Batman movie, but I do applaud them for pushing the envelope. Too many companies are unwilling to take risks or try something new. I hope this means they are going to be putting that DCT engine in other models. Maybe a CBR600 with DCT?
