Anyone using the BMW Motorrad App for navigation with an Android phone and a Sena headset?

Just recently received my 2022 C400GT and really liking it. I've been messing around and using the BMW Motorrad App and for the most part it works pretty good with the TFT screen. A few things I've noticed is that I wish it would warn you a little sooner of a turn. Right now I'm just about at the turn when It's showing me to turn. The other thing is that I'm not really hearing the turn by turn directions in my Sena 20 headset. It's kinda weird in that I hear it for a split second and then the sound is either gone or it's so low that I don't hear it. All this is going on when I'm playing music. If I'm not playing music I'll hear the directions fine. I've tried a couple of settings on the Sena with no luck. I have the BMW app settings set to hear the voice directions and I have the volume turned up all the way on my phone. Right now I'm not sure what other setting to check. I think it may have something to do with the Sena headset but not sure. Has anybody else had this particular issue?

Been doing a little more troubleshooting and part of what's happening is that when the navigation voice comes on the music is not lowering and it's over powering the navigation voice. Been talking to Sena and all my settings are correct on my Sena 20. Don't know if there is some kind of incompatibility with the Motorrad software on the bike. Who knows!! My Sena is up to date on it's firmware.

Is your SENA paired with your smartphone?

No. It's only paired with the C400GT. I was out today riding with a friend and he also has a Sena headset and we can talk to each other with no problem. When we were talking the GPS voice guidance came on but it did not lower his voice. The voice guidance sound level was just as high as my friends voice and it made it impossible to understand what is was saying. I was also listening to music when the voice guidance came on but like before it came on for a second then either shut off or it was so low I couldn't hear it. It's totally not working correctly. Through the app I sent an email to the BMW Motorrad Connected people and I received a reply that they are working on some voice guidance issues and an updated app, version 4.3 will be released in Autumn 2022. They also wanted to check a setting on the "Google Text-To-Speech" to see if it was set correctly and that it was the preferred engine and it was. One other thing is that when no music is playing and my friend was not talking I could hear the voice guidance just fine. There is definitely a priority issue. The voice guidance should be prioritized over the music and intercom and lower those but it's not doing that.

Just to confirm, you have the SENA 20S? Does it have mesh?

You can change the volume settings using the SENA app as well.

I do have the Sena 20S but the volume is not the problem. The problem is when I'm talking to someone on intercom the gps comes on and is not lowering the volume of the person I'm talking to via the intercom. Both the GPS and intercom volumes are loud enough but their both talking at the time. Another kinda weird thing going on with the BMW Connected app is that when I put in a destination is almost always wants to take me down a gravel road at some point in the ride. I don't do gravel roads. I can tell the app to avoid dirt roads which it does do but it won't avoid gravel roads. I reached out to BMW Connectivity people and suggested they also include gravel road avoidance in the app. They told me they would look into that.
