BMW dropping the C650 in the USA ?

The majority of our San Antonio-based scooter touring group active riders have C650GT’s (2014, 2018, 2016, and 2019) and love them. We ride all over Texas and the adjoining states and had thought that we had a long-term keeper with the Beemers, but are guardedly looking at other options now. For me, as long as the local dealer can maintain mine (2018) I plan to keep it due to (1) seat comfort, (2) relatively large tires/wheels, (3) speed and power on highways, (4) foot-forward position, and (5) people coming up to me all the time at gas stations and complimenting me on my bike. I can’t think of any reason to ditch this uniquely capable and comfortable bike except lack of HQ/maintenance support and/or my advanced age. I asked the dealer from whom I bought mine if they had ever had a C650GT on the showroom that they didn't sell and he said “no.” SMH

That's the part I dont get. When I started looking around, they were far and few between and very little discounting. You would think they would want a bike that is easy to ride and could appeal to a wider audience. But I dont think it is just BMW since you dont see many scoots at the Honda or Yamaha dealers either. I think Honda is starting to get it with having more DCT bikes available. Maybe in a couple of years when electrics start to proliferate we will have more choices.
