My rear brake pads are due in about 1000 miles, recieve this KYOTO brake pads from UK and will be changing it soon. Anyone has any feedback regarding aftermarket pads or it's best to use original. I use ferodo pads before on my R1100RS .. not that familiar with this brand.

aftermarket pads are ok, ferodo and EBC but i have heard bad reports on those KYOTO pads not actually fitting the caliper correctly. hope yours are ok.

I used EBC pads on several different models of Goldwing and never had a problem. I prefer the organic pads over the sintered metal ones which I believe wears the rotors faster. At the price of disks I'd prefer to wear the pads.

Ah, but at the price of SAFETY, I'll keep the sintered and buy rotors sooner. Get AFTERMARKET rotors from NG Brake Disc in Spain, OEM manufactures for just about EVERYONE. Here is a shot from their PDF catalog. front & rear are available in standard and Wavy (with the "X" appended)

BTW, flushed the brake system last week as the bike is 2 years old. Used a Mity Vac and pulled fresh fluid through. No problems and no issues with ABS.

Please advise why you think non-sintered pads are unsafe?
