Boomer Sooner baby. Beat the Buckeyes.

Leaving early Friday to watch the beat down.

Well, first of all, I know you moved to TN only because as an Okie you knew you would always have at least one top 20 team as your personal favorite each Saturday.. But did OU win a game yet this year? Oh, wait a minute they beat that powerhouse...uh, what is the name again....oh, that's right, those rampaging Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

On the other hand, heading to Norman to play a little football against that home team is a bit of a challenge. I mean not as much Tulsa, but the Bucks may have to play their first string at least half the game.

I think you are right. There will be a beat down. Have extra water for the horses ready. :D

Confidence! I like it. Certainly no reason to believe the Sooners have a chance. Certainly the Buckos have proven their brilliance against the stellar duo of Bowling Green and Tulsa, in the horseshoe. I mean - Tulsa and Bowling Green are awesome tests, especially at home. Not even sure the Sooners should bother to show up. Just annoint the Bucks.

But, something tells me Ohio native Bobby Stoops will have the Crimson and Cream ready to play and I expect a great game. Looks like rain will be in the area, but otherwise a great weekend ahead.

For some reason I am sensing a wee bit of sarcasm ;). Enjoy yourself. Norman is the place to be Saturday night. It should be a great game. First real test for the Buckeyes*.

*Ok, now I'm just being kind.

Lots of scarlet and gray in town. Nice to have the visitors. We'll treat em well and send em home with a whooping.

A little dance down memory lane to 1977, when there was never more than 2-3 college football games on tv each Saturday. But Switzer and Hayes in the Shoe was. Throw in a great game and a German kicker and you have a classic.

Yikes...Seeing the Sooners 1-2 is not likely and that video is an ugly reminder of what could happen (well, ugly from the Buckeyes point of view).

Well, I needed some time, but I have returned. Congrats to the Buckeyes. They were GREAT on Saturday night. I watched a number of plays where every single OSU player 'won" their battle. It was a great atmosphere and a fun night, but my Sooners were whipped.

Looking forward to a trip to Columbus next fall, but will bring low expectations for being able to compete.

:(

The Buckeyes played like they didn't even realize that it was the Oklahoma Sooners across the line from them. Sometimes young and dumb works.

I just booked my hotel room for Columbus next fall. Assuming the expected fine fall weather, I plan to ride up. If you Ohio guys want to show me around your favorite roads, would love to make that happen - Thursday or Friday before the game or Sunday after. Long way away, but just planting a little bug in your ears.

Most excellent! Second week in September...You know we will be ready for a whole bunch of Sooner fans. Crimson and Cream against the Scarlet and Gray. Looking forward to it. We'll see who has to wear who's cap after the game (a posted picture will be required).;)

(Admittedly, we got a little lucky this year in Norman.)
