Hi all...this is my first post to this forum. Yesterday was our first measurable snowfall in Minneapolis, and the 16 inches that came down pretty much brought an end to any idea of going out for a quick scoot!

I just bought a C650GT a few weeks ago; Platinum Bronze with heated seats and handgrips. Wasn't really thrilled with the 3 color choices, red was closest to what I wanted, but the dealer had only Plat Bronze was available. They offered to go pick one up for me in Colorado...900 miles away. Instead, I struck a deal with them to remove all the fairings so I could have them painted my fave color. I'm fairly sure that when Spring finally rolls around here in Minnesota in April or May, I'll be the only guy with an "Atomic Orange" BMW C650GT. (See pic: paint color used primarily on 'Vettes).

Will take pix when I get the parts back from the body shop. I can't WAIT!

That will look awsome . I can't wait till you post a picture. If you have the panels or will have the panels, particularly the middle ones that cover the engine area. Could you take pictures of the backside of them and how they mount. No one can figure it out and there is no manual yet. While you are at it can you take pictures of the bike without the panels, once again if possible where the panels mount on.
Thanks Jeff

Here's what they look like without the fairings.) Waiting for my topcase to come in so I can have the two little panels on that painted atomic orange with the rest of the bike. Sorry they aren't clearer... low light in the mechanic's shop.

I have wrapped mine in mat white. Cheaper than painting and I can change the color any time I get tired. I think it is a good option.

Is that top case the one they sell at the dealer?
No, the one at the dealer is 35 liter. This is a Hebco Becker journey 52 top case which I think is much better in terms of size and price. It is a German made case so the quality is really good too.

looks nice. I have the blue sport, but I am thinking to wrap the lower titanium portion in Carbon fiber.
did you paint the lower section as well?

Wow, that orange looks amazing! Would like to see higher-res photos in direct sunlight. My last three bikes have been red because no better colors were offered; it's always a choice between red or some really drab colors. But I love shades of orange or yellow.

How much did the paint job cost?

The paint job was $800. Here is a picture in sun. It's a gorgeous color.
