Fortunately we have the Worldwide Globally & Universally recognized expert on Dr. Pulley sliders on this forum. Skutorr? (He can probably tell you life-span down to the minute.)

Thanks, I thought they were a wear item like roller weights seem to be. I have about 25K miles on my sliders and wondered if I need to put in a new set when I change the belt next time. I'm also thinking of changing the springs on my Dr. Pulley HiT clutch to reduce slippage and get full lock up quicker. Which direction (stronger vs weaker) should I go on the clutch springs and pillow springs?

BMW recently replaced my clutch aftetr 1 year as I was getting a shudder....I asked if they would put in a Dr pulley but they wouldnt and replaced it with a BMW approved one...after two weeks I am getting a knocking or rattle sound on engine idle which doesnt seem to be there when engine is revving..
My guess is they might not have installed the clutch correctly...

any ideas from anyone...Ive an appointment with another BMW dealer late this week to listen and tell me whats wrong....love the bike so hopefully its a simple fix...

Well all Good with the Knocking rattle....Had another dealer look at this and they found that when the new clutch was put in a recessed washer was put in the wrong way...the pulley wasnt working correctly either...
This was a quick fix and sounds and goes like new...cant imagine how they did this but great it was an easy fix

All I know is that in Europe some DEALERS replace the stock clutch under warranty with a Dr.Pulley HIT clutch...
