Four years old today!

That's right. Four years ago I brought "Snoopy" home for the first time. He doesn't QUITE have 30K miles on him yet; ever since I got the Zero my mileage on my two gas-engine bikes have gone WAAAY down... but he's still hanging in there for those times when the K1200LT is "overkill" and the Zero doesn't quite have the range or luggage capacity.

It's also my "Winter Commuter" since the Zero doesn't take well to below-freezing temperatures. The C650GT has far better weather protection along with the heated saddle and grips.

My bike turned 4 this past may with 24000 miles I also have 2 other bikes that I ride. today I installed a new air filter in my Honda ctx 700 you basically have to take the bike apart to get to the air filter which they buried under a ton of plastic it took 4 hrs to do this. The fairing, windshield,side panels, the spine panels, the seat, inner front wheel panels. I put a K&N air filter in so I can run the bike longer before I might attempt to change the filter again, I may sell the bike before I change the air filter again. Problem I really like the bike.

My GT has turned four as well but only has 10,000 miles on the odometer. I haven't been riding as much this past year due to medical matters and have been Jeeping a bit more. (AC is wonderful in the summer around here). The scooter is running better than ever. I've been using Mobil 1 and ethanol free gasoline which seems to have perked up performance a bit. Haven't had a bit of trouble in the past year. I almost bought another BMW K1100 recently but decided there's nothing the GT won't do as well or better and then there's the insurance on a second bike so my GT will be the only two wheeler from now on in my garage.

The GT changed me from an occasional rider. Anywhere I can - I take the bike. Got my '13 almost 3 years ago; new from the dealer but the warranty had started a few months earlier. I used the savings to buy a 7 year full warranty and haven't had to use it yet. The weather here helps too. When it hit 30K I though the moment deserved a photo.



I also realize the reflection looks like a bumble bee taking the photo....
