I also arrived via Google. I found a couple of other BMW C650 forums but liked the look of this one. I'm still active on the Silverwing forum, the Saunders Goldwing forum and the Ruger forum as well. Hoping this one does well, nice looking format and friendly members.

I find you through Google by typing "BMW Scooter blog" and you came as the first entry. I've been on the google plus BMW group scooter group started by Rick of Web Bike world and wanted to see if there other groups out there.

Hello All. I also googled the forum. I went to a BMW dealership in Indianapolis but they were not to exited about showing or even selling a scooter. The salesman told me he would rather be caught dead on a Harley than ride a scooter. So I ended up with a Honda Silver wing for my second Scoot. I would still like to ride a GT and experience the BMW quality.

The comfort, Ease of operation and utility of a Maxi scooters is what draws me to them. I thought I wanted a old bike to fix up and putts around with, so I got an old Honda gl500. I finally got it running and the first thing I noticed was it takes all 4 of my appendages to ride this thing. That was bothersome. Took it home and put a for sale sign on it. Both my other scoots ran rings around it anyway.

Hello to All and if your around the Lafayette, In area I,m always open for a group gathering.

Steve.

Yet another BMW Dealer that has his head up his A$$, what a shame!!!!!!! Sounds like the sales rep SHOULD work for Hardley D.

on a side note, I had 2 GL-500's; also known as Silverwings......Guzzi style

Yeah, I agree. Too bad for many motorcycle enthusiasts that would have so much fun on a C600 or C650GT....And be able to do so much more.

No doubt we will see more maxi's out there.

Excellent point. I also found this forum to be a great info source...and the verbal give and take is a often a hoot.

+1 For Google. I also look here for any and all information about the scoot's first. It is a wealth of clear information.

Hi everyone,

How did you find the site BMW-Scooters.com?

Thanks!

Dennis

Like many others it was a simple Google search and desire to get and share thoughts and info on our rides. It seems that we don't have any trolls on this forum which is nice. Is it possible however to increase the timeout just a bit though? Thanks for the excellent admin.

I as well googled BMW C650GT and stumbled upon this forum. I don't spend a lot of time on the PC, but have found this to be a great site. Thanks!

Googled BMW Scooter forum and found it that way. It was the first or second link. I was a lurker for a few months, just reading different threads. Once I was close to picking my C650S up I joined the community.

Google of course. I bought a C600 Sport and immediately started scouring BMW scooter forums for a solution to the unacceptably terrible stock clutch. Found the information I was looking for here in the form of the Dr Pulley Hit clutch threads.

Well, I found a great deal on a used c 650gt but I wanted to make an informed purchase. So, Youtube (which has taught me more than High School did) became my source for info. WebBikeWorld has a extensive set of vids on this machine and mentioned a forum online with thoughtful discussions. I just purchased the bike yesterday, and drove it for 30 miles before the weather turned sour. Totally happy and looking for some great touring and even the IronButt challenge. Hope to fit right in here and learn as much as I can from the wisdom you all share. If I can be of service to anyone who needs, I am happy to help.

Google searched for a BMW scooter forum. I am also in the bmwmoa forum and it is very active. I had the very first owned C650 GT scooter in North America. I have owned it since October 12th 2012
I enjoy doing my own maintenance. Is there a site for helpful tips and/or help performing such maintenance? Thanks
