I like the bike it is and eye catcher and I could wear my Batman suit and not look out of place, My girl friend has a DN01 and loves it the HFT tranny is very smooth and responsive she has talked her way out of 2 speeding tickets so far if I was riding it I would have got the tickets. I do like that Honda tries out new concepts and there bikes are bullet proof most of the time. I had a chance to drive the Honda Rune what a insanely fast and powerful bike it will take all the rinkles out of your face driving it.

Yes it's true our BMW's blur the line between a scooter and a motorcycle but I don't see this Honda as a scooter but rather just a more futuristic styled motorcycle. It is still a "swing your leg over" type of motorcycle instead of a "step through" or even a "step over" scooter.

It appears to me that Honda is jumping even further into the futuristic look styling than even Victory has. I see quite a few "swoop styled" Victorys' (my term) in So. California so they seem to be selling well around here. They still don't appeal to me but then again at my age that look probably never will.

Yes, the Honda NM-4 (formerly including the word Vultus in the name). The Batman bike. It's a variant on their NC-700x bike. It offers a MUCH lower seat (23 inches or so), and DCT. Also ABS, but no heated amenities. Not to mention that the instrument cluster can be illuminated in a couple of dozen colors depending on the rider's mood. This bike has been on my radar screen for months since Honda announced it, and I hope to get a look at it, and maybe a test ride, over the coming weeks. While I was really enthused about it at first, the little bit of YouTube video I've seen has taken some of the excitement away. On video it looks short and squat.

When I got my 650GT, it was during the hailstorm of postings of all the problems it was experiencing. That plus the chain tensioner issue that was discovered on my 600-mile service visit, way before the recall. I stopped trusting the bike, so much so that when I forgot to bring up my kickstand one time and tried (unsuccessfully of course) to start it, I immediately thought the bike had failed. Since then however, I've really learned to trust, and dare I say, love, my C650GT. If I were to make a move away from the 650GT, the NM4 might be the bike. I love the styling, the DCT and the fact that it's a "real bike". OK, start throwing your virtual stones at me now.:) Unlike 3-4 months ago however, it would take a lot for me to give up my Beemer now. Even though I still have my Honda riding jacket. :D

While very different, the bike looks great, IMO (the NM4 - not the Morphous). And Honda is, well, Honda; quality leader in motorized vehicles. I can't see giving up my Beemer, but I am looking forward to seeing and maybe test driving the NM4.

Your not going to believe this but the girl friend also owns a yahama Morpheus 2006 and put 24000 miles on it by the way it is for sale for $1500.00 I doubt she will get that. I must say the bike really treated her well, and is in great condition.

I remember when I saw the Morphous at the IMS show in New York City. I didn't pay much attention to it because I thought it was just another "Concept Vehicle" on display. Imagine my surprise that summer when I saw one at the local Yamaha dealer. I was surprised it was only a 250, and considering the sheer size of the thing, it really didn't have all that much luggage capacity. Still, it looked more like something George Jetson would drive to work than anything else on the road. I guess it isn't surprising that they only sold it in this country for one year.

One of design features used to designate a scooter under federal regulations is the step through feature. The Honda would be a motorcycle using that perimeter.

I personally classify the Honda as a M/C. A very stylized 'sickle at that. Just because it has a DCT and is offering a similar solution to the C series and Bergman/Majesty and first time riders, it's no scooter. In it's favour, I certainly can see advantages to the so very low seat height in attracting newer riders.

I gotta say, and this is from a Honda fan boy, that Vultus or whatever Honda calls it now, is one UGLY bike. Personally I think it will sell just as well as the Ruin did. I think Honda spelled that one Rune, but it was one ugly motorcycle. Not as bad as the Victory Vision however.
