One of the things I appreciate most about this cam site is the diversity of gender identities represented by its models.

Done by connecting a servicing computer to the special plug under the right cheek. How to get there is described in the User Manual.

Plenty of information about this here. Essentially 3 options:
- goto dealer, not sure they will do this reset without also doing the actual service
- motoscan app using a obd2 dongle of their specifications. Advantage of this is you can use the app to also scan for error codes, learn new TPMS sensors etc, just like the dealer can
- GS911 tool. More expensive than motoscan

Just my experience with resetting is DON'T go to the dealer unless you have one that's really nice to you . Takes 10 mins to reset you code & they - the dealer - will charge 1/2 hr of labor . Typical hr rate is $195
If you plan to keep the BMW for a while then get the GS911 scan tool . IT's worth the money . Saves you time & lots of hassle with the dealer . My experience with BMW motorcycle dealers is they like to make $ , not help you with a simple reset for no cost. Maybe you could be one of the lucky ones with customer friendly dealer, but I yet to meet one so far.

Due to how difficult BMW dealers are , I have learned to do all my maintenance on my C650GT . The only thing will ever have them do is valve adjustments . Thank god it's only every 24 K miles . At my 1st check @ 24K , none of valves needed to be adjusted . Charge to check was 3 hrs labor, yep a bit of $ . Also , if a valve need adjustment , then more $$ . I even took off ALL the plastic to save them time to start the job & have easy access . Did I get a thank you or a small discount . Yeah , ya know that's a big NO

If you want to save $ avoid the dealer . Get a shop manual on CD of Ebay , some tools specific to the BMW & learn how to work on it . Really not that hard .

Cheers !on

I have the Motoscan android app (the pro version), one of Motoscan's recommended OBDII dongles (the cheap ones only read and won't write to the bike, so can't be used to reset the service indicator), and a BMW to OBD adapter cable from somewhere in China. It's worked well for me, resetting the service indicator, reading and decoding the fault codes when I had starting problems, and clearing the fault code history. A lot cheaper than the GS911, and I've not encountered anything that it wont do yet!
