Wind turbulence on journeys

I have just bought a 2017 650 highline sport. Does a 650 GT screen fit on it and does it reduce wind pressure on a long journey ?

Not sure what the 650 Highline sport model is. In the US, the only model imported for 17 was the 650 GT. If that is the same as the older sport with the manual screen then I dont think so.

its the lighter model without the panniers on the sides. Thanks for your response though.

GIVI replacement screens are different for the GT and Sport. I know because I ordered a GT screen and was sent a Sport by mistake. Since GIVI's fit the OEM screw holes, I'd guess the OEM GT screen will not fit the Sport.

As to whether it "reduces wind pressure on a long journey," again, I can only speak for the GT, but God, yes. Different bike. Night and day improvement. I can ride with a baseball cap with the taller replacement screen. With the OEM screen, the cap is blown off my head as soon as I hit 20 mph (meaning a lot of air smacks me in the forehead with the OEM screen at its topmost position ... I'm 6'1" for reference).

Hi there, I have a 2016 Sport, and have a Givi screen mounted. Markedly improves wind buffeting for me (I'm around 6' tall, for point of reference), and fits without issue (though I didn't bother with the included screws for attaching it, just used the same ones the OE screen used).

As for raising/lowering it, I find that the increased length of the screen makes putting the Givi into its lowest position kind of cramps my style, since the lip of the screen gets closer to the lips on my face. :)

Also, if you have a RAM Mount on one of the brake cylinders for your phone/GPS, the lowest position can also mess with that, but I think that's an issue with any windshield you mount.

Hope that helps.

Have just fitted the Givi Screen. Transformative, much better indeed.

Does anyone notice a slight clutch slipping when the bike is cold, like first thing in the morning. I used to have a Tmax which has the same gearbox and it was much smoother. Maybe its the fuelling when cold. ??
