I've had that issue as well. In my case, I have blamed it on improper breaking in or bedding the pads. I can use brake cleaner and the squealing goes away for a while but it always comes back. When I think about it, it really bums me out that in our great USA, where we have access to more than most of the world, we don't get some of the best maxi-scooters. Honda, for example, makes some great maxi's even up to 750cc. And, of course, as was mentioned, the Yamaha offerings with TMax...

A backpack works pretty well for smaller items like laptop, etc.

I usually don't take a bike back to the dealer unless there's a problem I can't fix. As a result, I can miss out on software updates. I just checked and my '23 C400GT is running on S/W Version 022_008_020. I'm hesitant to mess with it since it's running and idling just fine.

BTW, the Shad rack doesn't replace but goes under the existing stock grab rails.

I decided on Shad for the rack and it worked out perfectly. No replacing of the side panels required.
