Loud, squealing brakes on brand new C400GT

I've had that issue as well. In my case, I have blamed it on improper breaking in or bedding the pads. I can use brake cleaner and the squealing goes away for a while but it always comes back. I'm pretty sure I could fix this if it really bothered me enough by lightly sanding the pads or putting...

    Ctek 12v Lead

My preference is for a charging pigtail directly to the battery.

    C 400 GT/X: A Little Help With A Cruise-Control Letter-Writing Campaign, Please

Purchased the AK550 last summer from a NC dealer. They didn't stock those but they got me one in about a week. It's been great but I do wish it could have been the Premium model. Thinking I'll put the 2022 C400GT up for sale next month.

    C400GT Touring

Yes, I did notice that and is primarily why I followed with my post. I usually do my own maintenance. The closest Kymco dealer is about 60 miles away so I can go there if need be. Of course, parts availability is of some concern but I don't usually hold on to bikes long enough to get into...

    C400GT Touring

Maybe I can give an interesting perspective on this subject. We all know how limited we are in the US with maxi scooters. I really wanted the T-Max Techmax 560 but it wasn't available. I had owned the Yamaha Zuma 125 and, while smaller than I wanted, it was a very good scoot. I bought the C400GT...

Carpuride Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Motorcycle Device

Well, that's the easy part. Buy a BMW plug, remove the plastic handlebar cover, and plug it in to the provided connector. Easy, Peasy!

Carpuride Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Motorcycle Device

For Carpuride, I would suggest the support from Matt Adventure. He is in France but great to work with and a very nicely done mount. This mount works with a cross bar of almost any diameter. Mine happens to be 12mm. I first tried the RAM ball that comes on the back of the Carpuride but it...

    MadStad Windscreen Outreach

I had one on my Honda F6B, ugly but very effective.

Has anyone put one of these one button parking brakes on their bike?

Wouldn't a Velcro strip work just as well?

    prospective owner concerned about reliability?

Ceesie, I'm sure you're right about lack of demand being the issue. I have to wonder though, as fuel prices continue to rise, if that will change in the near future. Also, with the "boomers" and I'm one of those, maybe it's already starting to make more sense for the US to increase scooter...

    prospective owner concerned about reliability?

When I think about it, it really bums me out that in our great USA, where we have access to more than most of the world, we don't get some of the best maxi-scooters. Honda, for example, makes some great maxi's even up to 750cc. And, of course, as was mentioned, the Yamaha offerings with TMax...

Saddlebags / Soft luggage / throwover

A backpack works pretty well for smaller items like laptop, etc.

    Idle rpm

I usually don't take a bike back to the dealer unless there's a problem I can't fix. As a result, I can miss out on software updates. I just checked and my '23 C400GT is running on S/W Version 022_008_020. I'm hesitant to mess with it since it's running and idling just fine.

    Comie/Shad Tour Box

BTW, the Shad rack doesn't replace but goes under the existing stock grab rails.

    Comie/Shad Tour Box

I decided on Shad for the rack and it worked out perfectly. No replacing of the side panels required.
