CE 04 Predicted Range vs. Odometer

Engine? Not sure what you mean?

CE 04 Predicted Range vs. Odometer

Good to see a statistical analysis completed! The discrepancy between the computer and the odometer is interesting and I guess a final step would be to verify the odo against some other measuring tool – maybe a GPS or mobile app to see if they correlate? Otherwise your figures do seem to...

CE 04 Predicted Range vs. Odometer

I’m anti-Zuck, so no FB fo me, alas… The ‘04 seems to calculate predicted range based on past performance. I notice this on a ride where on a long downhill with regen in play, the range shown can actually begin to increase. I also suspect that from ride to ride, so-to-speak, the ‘04 computer is...

    CE 04 Maps question

I have about 1k miles on my ‘04 now. Getting a map up on screen is still a bit of a challenge, but can be done. It’s all about the app, really. First thing is to realise that you have to connect your mobile phone with the display. Then the app has to be left open on screen and you can’t lock...

Type 2 Quick charger, single phase 30A.

    How low can you go

Scary biscuits… Not sure I ever want to see miles-to-charge get that low!

    Post your CE 04 pics

Nice. The flat bench seat is probably a good move… Enjoy!

    Fast charge option or standard?

Yes – the quick charger is a must, imho. As an example I was out last weekend about 45 miles from home and on the return I got a boost adding about 20 miles or so range, enabling me to get home with a bit of juice to spare. Took less time than I could drink a coffee. Without the quick charger –...

    Bike charging socket

Here’s what BMW Motorrad UK say on their CE 04 pages: https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/models/urban_mobility/ce04/range-and-charging.html#/section-fast-simple-and-flexible Cables with up to 7.4 kW charging power: 1-phase, 32 amps, 2.35 kg in weight. Recommended in countries with mainly...

    Bike charging socket

Yes. The three phase cable has two extra live wires in the lead and two extra live connections in the plug providing higher power capacity and better efficiency. The cable is a bit thicker/heavier (not by much, really), but worth it for a faster charge when out and about.

    Bike charging socket

I use the ZapMap app to locate chargers here in the UK and filter usually to 11 and 22kw. A lot of the 7kw chargers out there only seem to give around 3, which is a bit slow. To get the benefit from these higher wattage chargers (and assuming you have the quick charger onboard), make sure you...

    Anyone changed the handlebars?

That’s really interesting. I find the stock bars are too high and have me leaning backwards all the time…
