Just thinking that now the C650 Sport is loose in the wild that it's about time the various threads got renamed, e.g. "C600 Sport, C650 Sport & C650GT General Discussion" for this one.
Or maybe just "BMW Maxi-Scooters General Discussion" for future proofing. ;)
And while I'd be sorry to see...
Having sampled a 2016 C650 Sport with its revised transmission set up, I can confirm it has a fair bit more engine braking than my 2014 C600.
When I got my C600 I immediately noticed how little engine braking it had compared to my 2004 Silverwing 600, so I think the revisions bring the BMW pair...
I'm no fan of the C600's front end either, just think it's less ugly than the new one.
It might be that orange colour that's putting me off. There was a black one at my dealer yesterday which wasn't so bad.
My C600 is much improved since I persuaded them there was something wrong with the...
I've had a new C650 Sport on loan for two days now while my 2014 C600 is in for repairs (about which more later).
The difference in the way it gets off the line is amazing - no more screaming revs and nothing much happening, it just shoots off immediately.
Is this a design change or is there...
Had another look and looks like SteveADV is right - the plate is related to keeping the side fairings in place, but not in the way you might think.
Their purpose (there's one on the other side too) appears to be to stiffen the bodywork in the vicinity of the existing pop-on connectors, so they...
Located behind the front right panel next to the fuses, attached to the glovebox hinge.
"Footboard Snap Lock" says the label - some sort of tool needed for dismantling the bodywork perhaps?
If so strange that it's supplied attached to every C600 and not just included in the tool kit. :confused...
That's what I was aiming at - without the Flexcase fabric all wadded up I'd get a little more room in there for stuff while underway.
I never use the thing anyway for security reasons - it advertises that there might be something in there worth stealing.
To avoid having the openings one could...
Thanks grey.hound. If you have the tech knowhow might I suggest converting the pdf to jpg images and uploading those?
Can be done with many pdf utilities or websites such as http://smallpdf.com/pdf-to-jpg
The link to the technical manual in post 1 is dead for me also - can anyone direct us to another location please?
Or is there even a way to upload pdfs to the forum?
I had the brainwave of removing the Flexcase from my C600 to create a little more room under the seat. Turns out it's not such a good idea as the designers have unhelpfully left some holes in the hatch that will let water flood in...
Looks like there's a little drain hole at forward end of...
