    Oil change

Here's a picture before I painted the boards and added a non skid strip down the middle of each. They just clip on each side with two pins. Takes all the worry about getting the bike on and off.

C650 Sport owners. Does your seat rub against the grab rail when trying to lower it?

Best bet would be to loosen the bolts and then tighten the front two nuts starting with the one on the side the seat rubs on. There's not much play in the hinge set up, perhaps the hinge is bent?

    Oil change

I bought the lift at Harbor Freight a few years ago. It was a store display item on sale for $200. I've used it for oil changes on friend's bikes as well as my own. Very handy. The only thing I didn't like about it was that as the bike's front wheel comes up on the ramp it's not possible to...

    Oil change

I did another oil change on my '13 GT yesterday and gotta say that job is more of a PIA than any of the other bikes I've owned including the B650 and Silverwing scooters. Of course a scooter is a bit more awkward than most motor cycles due to being closer to the ground so I guess that's part of...

    Problem with LH heated grip

Might be a problem with the newer scooters. Mine's a '13 with no problems with the grips so far. Been a coldish winter around here so I'd notice it pretty quickly.

    Should I trade?

There are times when I regret selling my K1100LT. When I bought it, a '95 with less than ten years about a two years ago it was great but after having problems with my knees I sold it. I had it at the same time I had my C650GT so it wasn't a decision of which one to keep. Now that I'm not having...

2016 C 650 gs what should it sell for ?

There aren't as many GTs out there as other type of bikes. For starters scooters aren't popular in the US. You gotta be secure in your masculinity. The macho image created by HD ya know. A lot of motorcycle riders don't realize how these machines can perform. My '13 GT was close to $11k new, I...

New Paint for 2016 C650 GT: Ruby Red Metallic Clear Coat

Very nice! It's been long proven on Goldwings that red is indeed the fastest color. That paint job ought to add 10mph to the top end. Really pretty, I'm jealous.

    Should I trade?

There's no reason you can't check in here from time to time to tell us how you're doing with the new bike. I still post on the Silverwing forum even though I sold my Silverwing three years ago.

    Should I trade?

If you gotta ask the question you probably really want to make the trade. You only go around once, do it!

    Unable to reset Service Indicator

The GS911 worked fine on my GT to reset the service notice. Should be the the same on the Sport. I don't know if you need the wireless version like mine or the less expensive wired version. Mine will give some readings to my iPhone but to get full functionality it needs a PC to link up to...

i cant get my c650 gt to start!!!

I do much the same, use a shot of gasoline additive to undo what the damnable alcohol does. A couple of times in the three years I've owned the bike it's had a bit of a starting problem. A shot of additive in the tank every couple tank fulls and no more problem. I've been using Star Brite...

    My Scoot has arrived!

Lemon Pledge. Good for the tupperware and windshield. Smells good too. Inexpensive. I've been using the stuff for nearly thirty years on airplanes, boats and bikes.

    Seat removal c600 sport

If it's the same as the GT you need to remve two nuts down low under the front of the seat, then four screw. It will require a little prying of the back part of the hinge to get it over the two triangular pieces of plastic on the underside of the seat, then just slide it forward off the bike.

Spent an hour digging out the driveway

Still lousy weather for scootering. Not too good for autos either. At least most of the snow is gone but the rain is just starting. We have standing water in our backyard, first time I've seen that since we moved here nine years ago. This el Nino is really taking a whack at us.

Spent an hour digging out the driveway

I measured 16" on the roof of our storage shed, less on the roads, maybe 10-12" but a lot of it was packed down into ice. Lots of slipping and sliding going on. Schools were closed all last week. Much better now, we've had some rain to get rid of this stuff and are expecting a heavy rainfall...
