What's your Odometer reading? aka how many miles on your bike?

Finally rolled over 10K plus a couple hundred. No road trips this past year unfortunately. Getting near time to change oil again. The Power Pure tires are holding up well. I like them and will put another pair on when these are gone. They do a good job on the twisties, are good when wet and do...

    webBikeWorld compares 1st Gen and 2nd Gen C650 GT's

The Ural is interesting looking but only good for riding if you're not in a hurry. That's a lot of bike to move with a 750cc 42hp. It's amazing how difficult it is to find performance figures for that bike, quarter mile times and speeds, top speed, 0-60mph, none of it is easily available.

    Helmet Sunblocker?

No reason I can see that it wouldn't work. Being removable and reasonably inexpensive it ought to be worth trying.

    webBikeWorld compares 1st Gen and 2nd Gen C650 GT's

I felt much the same about the Can Am myself. I decided when I have to hang up the helmet I'm going to look for a Porche.

    webBikeWorld compares 1st Gen and 2nd Gen C650 GT's

I'd like to have the new gearing and sound improvement but I'm likely stuck with my '13. It runs great and is likely to last longer than I will.

    Kaoko fitting

I'd recheck what size Kaoko you have. I put one on my GT about three years ago and it just slipped on. The only washer that came with mine was a fiber washer that fits on low boss on the Kaoko's face and goes between that and the rubber of the handlebar grip. It doesn't go into anything, you can...

    Dropped my 650GT today.

Well, if grey.hound is that honest I guess I have to confess. About three years ago I was on a road trip with my brother and we had a 'drop the bike' epidemic. He was riding his BMW R1200 and I had my GL1800. He was the first to go, put his foot down in sand on an intersection and down he went...

    Dropped my 650GT today.

As I confessed awhile back I too joined the 'dropped the scooter' club. I couldn't quite lift it upright on a hill when the bike fell with the wheels uphill. I needed some help to do the job. I wanted to see how hard it would be to lift the bike on level ground because I never had too much...

    Rear wheel doesn't spin freely

The rear wheel can't spin freely, it's always linked to the drive chain which is connected to the driven pulley. There will be a good bit of drag when hand turning the rear wheel.

I might add another scooter to my stable, your thoughts.

Kymco only builds the engines for BMW. Not knocking their bikes, just sayin'.

    Passenger Foot Pegs

Kuryakyn has some good stuff. I've put their hiway pegs on three different Goldwings I've had and a BMW K1100LT. Their ERGO line is hard to beat. It seems to me that for a passenger it would be worthwhile to try some wood blocks on the passenger floorboards. It shouldn't be too hard to figure...

Need mating connector for wire under BMW insignia above handlebars

Ah, now I remember that wire. I used it to connect to a socket on the lower handlebar cover that powers my Gerbing heated jacket and gloves.

Need mating connector for wire under BMW insignia above handlebars

What year and model do you have? My '13 GT doesn't have a lighted roundel.

    Distance after fuel light

It's easy to check the mileage you get on a tank. Just ride until it gets real quiet. Then read the odometer.:)

What's your Odometer reading? aka how many miles on your bike?

2013 GT 9545mi. Would be more except it has to share riding time with my Wrangler. Mileage has been building a bit faster now that it's the only bike in the garage.

Dropped my GT two days ago.

Yeah, coulda, woulda, shoulda. Unfortunately when I realized the bike wasn't going to clear the curb it was a bit too late for corrective action. Oddly enough If I'd hit the front brake firmly in the sharp left turn, the bike would have tipped itself to the right which would have saved the day...

    Windshield won't move.

I've reset the service reminders on my scooter with my diagnostic tool. I haven't really tried to do much else other than to check engine temperature, battery charging and looking for faults. I've got the Bluetooth/WiFi version and think I should have purchased the cable linked one. The only...

    New Corbin seat

Indeed a helper to hold the seat up until you get the first two bolts in makes it a lost easier. It took me a bit of time to realize I had to pry down the end of the seat bracket to get it to allow the OEM seat to slide off the bracket. I wish Corbin had utilized the six bolt set up the OEM seat...

    2013 C600 sport; California

The best pillion in the business is on a Goldwing. Narrower than a scooter seat, soft and cushy with a good backrest. Too bad there isn't a scooter like that. I guess the reason for the wide seat is to get some decent storage under the seat.

    Windshield won't move.

My windshield has 'frozen' twice since I got it. The first time about two years ago it only took a short visit to the dealer who corrected the computer fault. The second time was two months ago. Same thing, they reflashed the ECU and I was back in business. I don't know what caused it either...
