Three years, 25,000 miles on mid-grade (89 Octane) gasohol here and never a problem beyond the usual "run it briefly before parking overnight/won't start in the morning" issue that almost everyone complains about, but BMW has yet to fix.

I just don't get it. Why does BMW build "solutions" to non-existent problems? The windshield on my 1999 K1200LT also moves. You push the button, it moves in whichever direction you want until you either take your finger off the button, OR it hits the "stop." No computer needed. I remember...

By allowing the battery to run down completely it is possible the windshield won't move because the computer controlling it doesn't "know" where it is. I saw someone report a similar instance a couple of years back. Might need to get it down to the dealer to have them take a look.

Last time I looked, the US equivalent was $30K. That price BETTER come down if they expect to sell them here, though.

My Zero uses lithium batteries. :p But I'll stick with AGM for my ICE bikes.
