FOR SALE 2013 BMW C650 GT

Buying newer scoots is a tough call right now. Kinda glad I was able to get my 650 last year since they dont make em anymore. Fingers crossed they worked out all the bugs by the 19 model year. The 400 scoots dont impress me sorry to say. Too many issues and a fully made in China product...

Joyride on my C650 in east North Carolina

Nice ride/scenery. A bit far south from me.

Are any of the C650GT fuses switched?

The power to the 12v outlet in the left storage box is switched. You can access the back of that outlet by pulling that side panel off. If you want to trace the wire back, that may lead you to the appropriate fuse. That is fuse 6 from the owners manual. Fuse 6 5 A, Power socket in the front...

    Old bike - low miles.

Isn't there an issue with the timing chain tensioner on these early models?

    Wind turbulence on journeys

Not sure what the 650 Highline sport model is. In the US, the only model imported for 17 was the 650 GT. If that is the same as the older sport with the manual screen then I dont think so.

2020 c650gt problem taking off without warming up

I have a 2019 bought new, no issues like that. If you let it idle for 30 seconds to a minute does it still do it?

    Battery issue

Could have a parasitic drain. Are there any add on items that might be the culprit? Otherwise you may need to invest in an amp meter and see if there is any substantial current flowing when the bike is off and the key is out. You could also try pulling whatever relays are there as well...

    I got screwed!

That seriously sucks. Hope they do right by you.

    Clip broke some how?

I had to replace one panel on my Swing, it was one of the lower valence panels and got cracked. It was 96 bucks shipped and already painted in the right color. Really no comparison between the cost of BMW and Honda parts. And of course there are a ton of old Swings on the road comparted to C650's

How do you lift a C650GT onto the centerstand?

I'm not sure I would do that unless you have some other way to activate the parking brake. If you park on an incline the bike will roll. I'm not a fan of it either, but I dont see a way around it without some serious fabrication.

    Nice day for a blast!

Very pretty. Hope to make it over there one day. Last time I was in the UK was around 1980.

    Clip broke some how?

Most of this panel is held on by screws. If the tab that holds the front edge has broken, I would try and glue it back on using some sort of epoxy. If the other screws are still holding, its probably not going to fall off. Or put some clear tape over it to hold. The price on the panel is 356...

Running out of gas? Handy GT tip ....

Interesting read. I wonder how much changed over the years. They quoted seat height at 30.7 for the GT, I wonder if that was with the low height seat as the standard equipment.

Need the 9-1-1 on GS-911 for TPMS sensor replacement

Take a look at this thread on advrider for more feedback: https://advrider.com/f/threads/motoscan-app-for-bmw-motorcycles.1320275/page-2 Sounds like the app is not talking to the ECU. Make sure you dont have the other odb app running as well, they could be competing for the same resource...

    Clip broke some how?

If it is still attached, then just repair the plastic behind it? Or did it completely fall off and get lost?

    This BMW of mine.

That bike has cruise control? Are you really talking about a throttle lock or cramp buster? Glad you like it, its definitely more sporty than the Swing.

Running out of gas? Handy GT tip ....

Was out this last Sat and the light came on. Noticed that it said about 1.8 or 2.0, so I guess that was how far I traveled before I stopped for gas. I will say that since I have had the bike, I don't always seem to get it all bars full to the top. On this last fillup, I was at least one bar...

Need help tricking CANBUS for LED headlights

I'm curious as to why you want to do this. If it is a case of needing more light at night driving on dark country roads, I would think some aux lighting would be a much better idea. The lights would probably add to the value of the bike if you got some of the higher end name brand versions...

Need help tricking CANBUS for LED headlights

Having once worked at a factory that designed, tested and built automotive headlight assemblies, I saw how critical the designs of the reflector were so that the light output of the bulb would illuminate the road for the driver but at the same time would not blind oncoming traffic. The end...

Running out of gas? Handy GT tip ....

Interesting. I've had the gas light come on once or twice so far, but never noticed the icon in the LCD. Will have to check it out. My TPMS seems pretty accurate, but I do notice the front looses about a lb a week and has since new. And these wheels are not the easiest to top off with air...
