They all call for premium. I give/gave it to the bmw's since, well, they are bmw's. I run the can am on regular and it seems to do fine. Spyder is a 998 rotax v-twin pushing a bike that weighs about 1000 lbs.

Welcome aboard. Just make sure on these new old bikes that you check for the recall for the timing chain tensioner. If it is a very early model, dont keep riding it till you know the work has been done. Another new guy posted that he had it break and is now wondering what BMW will do for him.

So you raised the screen up by about 4 inches or so? Can you still see over it when its in the lowest position?

How long did the job take you to do? Did you have the tool that locks the variator? Do anything with the rollers? Just curious, I've got a while before I'll need to worry about it.

I'm interested, but it would have to be shipped to 23703. Do you have the original box for it, that helps a lot. When the screen is all the way down, how much air are you getting. I'm about 5 7 to 5 8 and I do like to drop the screen if its warm and get some air in the face. Bob
