New AK550 test ridden in Corsica

There sure are a lot of great scooters out there. I also own a Kymco People GT 300i and it is great. Doesn't compare to the big boys but it is a hoot for around town.

    Roll Call Spring 2017

I agree, although whenever I read a bike described as "compact" my knees start hurting.

Fortunately we have the Worldwide Globally & Universally recognized expert on Dr. Pulley sliders on this forum. Skutorr? (He can probably tell you life-span down to the minute.)

    My Scoot has arrived!

Yeah, you're probably right. Those suckers could jump the fence and then who knows how long it would before we're dodging 'em like Cleveland city street potholes. Gotta get some of those Shoo-Roos!;)

    New member welcome thread..

Hey Paul, Glad you're here. Yup, the engine noise is a little loud compared to some bikes but powerful (as you found out on your trip home). I think you'll be very happy with your purchase. Thoughts on the bike from new owners is especially welcome, so keep us up to speed on your thoughts.

    New member welcome thread..

dukdukman has tried the Excel product. The knob looks like it might be easier than the Kaoko. New product here in the US though, so maybe not available in the UK yet.

    New Member-New Ownwer of new/used 2014 C650GT

Paul, I was just in your neck of the woods doing some bike shopping (currently looking for a sidecar rig). The BMW C engines can be kinda noisy, but "metal to metal like a heat shield" does not sound familiar to me. The search engine is pretty good, so you might start there. On the other hand...

    Excel Throttle Control

Looks easy to use with that little knob thing. The Kaoko dial becomes second nature but the knob looks like it would make it learning curve even shorter.

    My Scoot has arrived!

Well, let's see, Cleveland, Akron, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo Zoos have 'em....so they're all over the place. It's a freakin' marsupial population explosion (uhh, well maybe 8). ;)

    Larger windscreen for C650GT

Ok. I gotta figure out how to work "aspheric curve" into a conversation. Probably wouldn't pass HR muster so can't do it at work. Maybe at poker tomorrow when we start talking politics.

    My Scoot has arrived!

I'm not sure what value the Shoo-Roos offer. I've never had 'em on any of my bikes and have never had a kangaroo incident.

2016 C 650 gs what should it sell for ?

It is kinda funny that a couple senior citizens felt they had to show anyone up after such a minor incident. As a senior myself, I also have to plead guilty to a similar mis-deed (not versus a Harley, however). Yah kinda just shake your head afterward and realize that maturity and age are not at...

    My GT is boring!

Yup, knew exactly what you meant and couldn't agree more. Stopped by my dealer today and the service manager was about to head out on a test drive of a 1977 Kawasaki bike made into a cafe racer. If you want the opposite of the "boring" C bikes, try a 40 yr old customized bike. A work of art, but...
