Weight Limit and riding 2 up

190 kg is a little shy of 420lbs. So not sure where the extra 135 lbs is coming from but maybe you are including gear and clothes and perhaps a pet pony.:D But your point is well made. A bunch over esdevore's weight concern and no problem. Plus Sparkrn has more than a few miles at a higher...

    New member welcome thread..

Hey Grample, Glad you are with us. Sounds like you favor the CGT over your other scooters. How come the change from the Silver Wings and what are the advantages to the CGT? I mean, you are an experienced scooter dude and probably can provide some insight to others that might be wondering the...

Weight Limit and riding 2 up

Well, depending on your skill set and how much over the "recommended" limit, probably bad stuff likely. Also depends on the location of the weight. High and heavy....not so good. (Of course, that's true with any bike.)

    2017 Daytona Bike Week

Yup. I remember a long time ago flooding a klr 650, literally, in a stream a long way from civilization and any other people. I took everything apart I could with the tools I had, put parts on a rock, and went for a hike. When I got back I put the bike back together and still couldn't get it to...

    SIDI Gore-Tex Boot Care?

Really excellent. Bookmarked. Planning a trip is big fun and I have a cousin in Juneau. Taking a bike along is a great idea. I might even side car with one of my west coast kids. Thanks, Lee.

    Dropped my 650GT today.

Ha. I hear yah, but I'm not so sure that most drops are slow turn front brake related more so than a seat height issue. I'm 6'2" and dropped my CGT while "sorta slowing" at a stop sign to make a right hand turn when a little boy jumped into my eye sight chasing a dog into the intersection. I...

Bellingham to Haines...You got me curious so I looked it up on the map. How long of a ferry ride is that? Sounds like a pretty doggone spectacular start to the trip.
