Ok, I made it to Chico to Ozzie's. It only dropped down to 24F going over the Sierras! The temperature display starts flashing @ 37F, and the cute little snowflake shows up. Once the lights get installed I'll post pictures. Now, I will be looking for some winter gloves!!

I'll be heading over the mountains on Saturday down to Chico to get Ozzie's BMW to install the Clearwater Darla LED lights on the C650GT. I'll give a report and pictures after the install, unless this weather front materializes and it snows up there in the Sierras. :D

Hey tlippy, I don't have an answer, but I see your location listed as Central Oregon. I am planning a ride next week, up to Burns, John Day, Sisters, and then heading home South to Susanville. Any route advice or scenic advice? I went up to Crater Lake last week, and that was a great ride!!

Yes, I have used the Startron additive too, with good results in both my C650GT and my 4 wheeled vehicles. However, my BMR shop guys recommended the Marvel Mystery Oil which I have been using lately with good results. Since my scooter is relatively new, there shouldn't be any chronic issues yet...

I'll be leaving for my journey to Crater Lake on Sunday. If I get any decent pictures, I'll try to upload some. Also, planning on a trip up to John Day & Sisters, Oregon later in September.
