    Mysterious metal object on C600

Located behind the front right panel next to the fuses, attached to the glovebox hinge. "Footboard Snap Lock" says the label - some sort of tool needed for dismantling the bodywork perhaps? If so strange that it's supplied attached to every C600 and not just included in the tool kit. :confused...

    Ditching the C600 Flexcase

That's what I was aiming at - without the Flexcase fabric all wadded up I'd get a little more room in there for stuff while underway. I never use the thing anyway for security reasons - it advertises that there might be something in there worth stealing. To avoid having the openings one could...

    Technical Manual from "BMW University"

Thanks grey.hound. If you have the tech knowhow might I suggest converting the pdf to jpg images and uploading those? Can be done with many pdf utilities or websites such as http://smallpdf.com/pdf-to-jpg

    Technical Manual from "BMW University"

The link to the technical manual in post 1 is dead for me also - can anyone direct us to another location please? Or is there even a way to upload pdfs to the forum?

    Ditching the C600 Flexcase

I had the brainwave of removing the Flexcase from my C600 to create a little more room under the seat. Turns out it's not such a good idea as the designers have unhelpfully left some holes in the hatch that will let water flood in... Looks like there's a little drain hole at forward end of...

    Gas Octane You Use

95, because in Ireland it's either that or diesel. Saves us any agonising decisions at the pumps I suppose... From what I can tell that would be equivalent of 90 in the US & Canada.

    I'm convinced! My new C600

From what I can establish (using Google image search with custom date range) those panels first appeared in mid-2012. BMW C 600 Sport vs Yamaha TMAX 530, 1er comparatif exclusif ! - Scooter Station No panels at the EICMA launch in November 2011. Can any eagle-eyed types out there spot any...

    I'm convinced! My new C600

I haven't found the Ermax hugger to be much use, I think it's too small. I notice your license plate holder doesn't have any infill panels - did you take them out or did it come like that? They're what make the real difference, although some dirt still gets through on to the bottom of my top...

    Valve Cap Warning!!

Come to think of it, could happen if you don't fully screw on any kind of valve cap

    Valve Cap Warning!!

Not sure if anyone has posted about this before: don’t ever put an oversized valve cap on the front wheel of a C600 / C650 because there's only a tiny clearance between the valve and the brake caliper. I put a cap with a built-in valve core extraction tool on my front wheel (just in case I ever...

    Ermax Hugger

Pity BMW don't make an add-on hugger themselves. Or even bother to make the standard "high-level" mudguard much use at all. My old scooter was much better as regards cleanliness - out of sight, out of mind seems to be the rear wheel design philosophy on a Silverwing ;)

    Ermax Hugger

Thought I would post a few pics of my Ermax hugger mudguard / fender.. I went for the cheapest unpainted type (called "brute" in French) Cost was €112 plus €16.50 shipping to Ireland. The black looks fine I think, but it is scratched pretty easily. The supplied instructions were hopeless and...

Tucano Urbano Hand Grip Covers / Mitts / Muffs

They were supplied with closures around the wrists, but for the sake of safety I cut the fabric out. I've had frights before where I've been fiddling with my visor and suddenly needed to grab the brakes, only to get fouled up by the muffs. I should have pointed that out - first thing I did when...

Tucano Urbano Hand Grip Covers / Mitts / Muffs

Thanks everyone. When I get the chance I'll post some photos of my Ermax hugger mudguard / fender.

Tucano Urbano Hand Grip Covers / Mitts / Muffs

I see there's been some posts about Tucano Urbano scooter coats / aprons so I thought you guys might like to see the mitts / muffs from the same maker I've just fitted. They're the R333 model, which is a universal type but is a pretty good fit for my C600 (and presumably C650 too). I have...
