    NEED NE REAR TIRE

"it feels like it leans itself, now I seem to be having more ease in the lean than straight up" That was my eye-opening experience on my C650. I owned it since 2018 (Metzeler then Shinko) but it wasn't until I put on the Michelins that I felt confident leaning more and going faster in the...

    NEED NE REAR TIRE

Just FYI my previous tire set was Shinko: yes they were cheap but lasted only half of the original (Metzeler I believe) and were far less sticky and confidence-inspiring than my current Michelins. Am enjoying the bike far more with the Michelins in the canyons around our house.

2020 bmw c650 GT complete bike part out

Check old threads, someone posted how they managed to save an engine whose timing chain had slipped causing as I recall a no start no compression like yours, simply by re-timing the engine - no permanent damage in his case. You might get lucky. Such a low mileage bike too!

    NEED NE REAR TIRE

I got Michelins for my C650 a few months ago at Cycle Gear, was no problem finding the correct size at all. GREAT tires! But, if your old tire still has good tread left, I would just plug it (may require two or three plugs if the hole is that big).

    Looking to buy C600

There is one with very low miles on Los Angeles Craigslist currently. It is in Palmdale, bit north of LA.

    Rear hydraulic brake failure.

My guess is, if the fluid level in the reservoir is good and no visible leakage, that your master cylinder has failed internally, meaning the piston seal broke and fluid is leaking past it. I'd replace it with a good used one. Bench bleed it first before installing it. Maybe this is not the...

    New bike!

Hi Ian from Southern California and may I congratulate you on your great taste in motorcycles! Just to add to Bill's solid advice, since your target C650 is a 2018 model, it will have the improved hydraulic cam chain tensioner (as opposed to mechanical, the switch occurred sometime in 2016) so...

    Hello from Portugal

Welcome! You will find there is a lot of collective knowledge and useful experience about these great motorcycles. You will also not see a lot of activity anymore, since these bikes are now getting older and there are fewer and fewer in circulation. It's now more about the smaller 400 and the...

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

Another update: I rode it some more yesterday and today - no stalling, perfectly smooth, quiet and healthy engine performance. Lately, after cold starts I could not immediately take off as the engine would hesitate, it took maybe 10 seconds to warm up a bit; that's now also gone and was likely...

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

So the test drive was moderately successful, in that in about 50 miles of varied riding the engine did stall once when coming to a stop at a traffic light early on in the trip. However, I noticed the engine started idling better and better as the miles went by and I kind of suspect that the fuel...

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

Given I had to remove almost all the tupperware on the bike given the stalling issue, I took the opportunity to do the following: fitted a new idle air vacuum hose installed a new O2 sensor installed a used replacement oil level sensor (the old one was driving me bonkers, it would trigger the...

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

Thanks Malish - good to hear your issue was solved, I can always run adaptations on Motoscan but I think I have the smoking gun. Agree the 02 sensor code probably always appears even when not the issue; I had a similar phenomenon recently with my son's Mercedes 250 GLK (diesel). It went into...

Engine stalling when slowing - test idle control device?

Let me add to this thread and confirm that, indeed, cracked idle air contol valve hoses do cause stalling at idle. Yesterday, for the first time in about maybe a month, I rode my C650 Sport to the gym, a 16 mile ride each way. To my surprise, at the first stop sign I encountered, after about 10...

C400GT ENGINE CONTROL FAILED! How to fix?

Scan the bike for trouble codes. You can do so with the Motoscan app (search this forum for more information). Does it still run?

It's been fun, but I've gone to the dark side......

Yes my thoughts as well. In fact, last week I put on new Michelins on my K1600 and even though they replaced the same type of Michelins (Road 6 GT), the old ones were worn just a bit flat and the difference in handling is huge, just like you describe. I can't imagine how terrible the handling...
