New Guy in Town - Erik Buell's Fuell Electric

Erik Buell's Fuell Electric motorcycle ($10,495 - $12,995 MSRP) is just around the corner. In fact they are taking discounted reservations now. Pretty interesting bike with some different technology such as it's hub motor eliminates the need for a trans-axle, gears, pulleys, belts, etc. making...

    BMW CE-04 In-Depth Observations - Mike Mas

Thanks for all the replies guys and the kind words - I'm really enjoying the BMW much more than I did my Zero. Regarding the comments on cold or hot weather, there's going to be times you'll need to ride the bike in less than desirable temperatures, with that said, the battery can take a fair...

Anyone Thinking of a CE 02

Just checking to see if I'm Insane - but I'm thinking I could be enticed to get a CE-02 High-line (gold forks) just for the hell of it. Anyone else giving this little bike some thought? Mike

Quick, inexpensive fix for American version rear turn signals

Hello - Is there a plug to wire in the new lamp or did you have to re-wire the light. Thanks Mike

My First Complaint About the CE-04

Ouch - I only paid $650 for an entire used Vespa scooter. That is outrageous for an alarm when there are so many other choices with more features. While I like BMW products I don't like their pricing and maintenance cost. Just like the first service warning - on every car and bike I was always...

    BMW CE-04 In-Depth Observations - Mike Mas

Hey Guys - Each new bike I own, I usually compile notes to share with other riders and so the reason of this article. In this In-Depth review I’ll cover some tips for extra range, the CE 04’s modes and we’ll talk about why all the You-tube experts were 100% wrong regarding regen adding tons of...

    Side stand ‘foot’

Exactly as I thought, another typical BS Youtube review looking not at the bike but the road for 10 minutes with goofy comments. I've owned my NM4 for almost 10 years never witnessed any of the BS he mumbles about. Also the tank holds 3.70 gallons so the bike easily gets 250-300 miles. Thanks...

    Side stand ‘foot’

Ghost thanks for the reply - not following you on the NM4. I still own the machine had it since 2014 never had an issue. What was the Youtube video about or should I ask, since most all Youtube reviews are garbage and only exist for self-selfies and the penny's Youtube pays for BS clicks. Mike

    Asking for a friend.

I found mine on Amazon - however a word of caution the BMW port will not allow much over 4 amps of draw then it opens up. It will reset on a re-start. So other than charging stuff it's worthless. I added a SAE connector direct to the battery for air pumps, heated clothing, etc. Here's my thread...

Shad Backrest Nice Addition Nice Look

Fortunately I just can't deal with the big box hanging off the machine. Only BMW can put these boxes on their beautiful bikes and get away with it. I'm waiting for someone to come out with a side case that matches the bikes panels and style! Mike

CE 04 Cruise Control & Hand Rest Device

Yeah I went through a few different versions this is by far the least complicated. Most of the other cruise devises you have to dis-engage something to release it. This one you just twist it to idle and its off. If some cage comes across your way you don't have time to screw with releasing...

    Side stand ‘foot’

You're right the CE 04 has way too much lean to be safe. I was planning on coming up with something. Here's what I did for my Honda NM4 it was like the CE 04 leaning way too much. I found this 1/2" aluminum block which was perfect. If you look close you can see the tiny base the stand...

    Extended Front Fender

Hey guys I'm sure you noticed the front fender rear is way too short so it kicks up dirt, mud, and rocks to both the cooling radiator as well as the body parts and heat sink. Has anyone tackled this yet to find a short extension, it would take just minutes to add and protect the radiator and...

CE 04 Cruise Control & Hand Rest Device

Hey guys if you've driven your CE 04 for any period of time then you know if you take you hand off the throttle for a second to stretch your fingers, regen kicks in to slow the bike. Short of stopping you can't rest you hand. As a solution and more important a cruise control, these inexpensive...
