Thanks Bill;
I love to modify stuff that will make my riding experiance more enjoyable, You talked me into it. I'll give it a try. There is something else I want from there so I get that as well.

Thanks Bill;
The one I linked to looks almost exactly like the one you tried that didn't work for you. The one I have is the same one you are using and it works. I would not say that for me it has been a rare ocasion to use it though. It seems like when I am on vacation in the mountains in SD...
I agree with Bill P. It should not be that difficulult for BMW to have added cruise control and TPMS. I never had either one until my last bike and while I did not use them a lot they were very nice features. Once you have had them you miss them. My challenger also had an electronic wihdshield...
I agree. I just looked at it tonight and thought, how the hell are they getting these off! It seems like an awfull lot of work to remove the windshield, then the cover bracket, then unplug it, then it looks like there are several more screews to remove inside the head unit. And then what the...
The screen has worked out great for me and I would not hesitate to purchase another if this one goes bad or gets to scratched. The hole in it is positioned at the perfect height to keep my Garmin a little cooler when Im riding. (Those Garmins get really hot expecially if the sun is beating on...
I just got my scooter back from the dealer first service and was going to change the mirrors to a set I had used on my previous bikes but then thought I might as well finally put on those hand guards I bought but never put on because they hit the windshield.
So I called the manufacturer of the...
I'm sure your method is best by a long shot. And the more often you do it the better. However on my Vespas I use to just pressure blow my VCT at about 3000 to 3500 miles and then clean it at 7000 to 8000 miles in the winter when I wasn't riding it. ( I average about 7500 miles each summer.) I...
I remember my Vespas having this issue and making noise and not working as smoothly. I was able to blow the dirt and dust out with compressed air not the perfect solution but it worked pretty well until the service interval. I don't remember the exact proceedure but I remember doing it and it...
Picked up my scooter from the dealer today. The software version is 060. The idle was set to 1400 - 1500 rpms when warmed up. The dealer did not change it. And the Oil level display works. It says OK. So I believe it was shipped with the latest US software.
It got up to 59 degrees today so I...
I will check the software version when I get the bike back but I purchased my bike on 11/14/2023. It had just arrived at the dealership with 2 other C400gt's and the dealer told me this was the last of the 2023's they would get. I was just looking not interested in purchasing right then but I...
Just got a call from the dealer. There was no software update for my bike so they just did the normal first service. According to them the idle is set at 1400 to 1500 rpm and they did not change it. So when I get the bike back I will check to see if the oil sensor is working. I am relieved but...
So I dropped my bike off at the dealer today for my first service. (finally) I asked them about the software update and told them what I read on the posts in this forum. They made a note that if there was a sofetware update to check the idle and reset to 1400-1500 rpm. I know they have sold a...
Well I don't know if they would or not but I was sure going to ask/request after reading the first few posts in this thread. If people are having issues I would think they would respect what you want done. If your not having issues.
I'm glad I read these last few posts. Mine is going in for my first service Saturday. I was going to tell them not to do the software update, if there was one as I had heard that the update set the idle much higher and my bike is running fine. Now I know to tell them that after the software...
All of this info is awesom! I changed shocks on my Indian Scout and it was such a PITA to adjust them with that shock adjustment tool that I hated them. I am almost certain to get a set of these when I return from vacation.
