At 66, I have been retired for a year or so and mainly been using my ‘04 for local runs, whereas I have another machine for distances (‘70s Airhead).
Here’s mine about 3 miles from home o_O on another fine spring day…
Don’t forget to record some of your longer journeys here!
You can see a range of CE 04 seats here:

If you then click on the individual seat links, you can find a part number.
Here’s one from another site here in Europe...
Brake squeal seems to be fairly common with these bikes and the culprit seems paradoxically to be the strength of regen?!
In comparison to an ICE bike I find myself hardly using the brakes at all – mostly just for the last few yards when I pull to a stop. Consequently road dirt and residues...
And that’s why premiums keep on rising… I’ve had a very similar experience on four wheels about 10 years ago, and regret letting the insurer ‘recover’ the vehicle. It was then removed to I never knew where and immediately written off. I had a hell of a job getting the £ I needed to replace it...
Sorry to hear about the off and subsequent damage to man and machine. When I had my crunch a few years back and fractured 2 vertebrae I started on morphine in the morning and come the evening they made me walk to the front door of the hospital. Those guys are inured to human suffering…
Having...
I bought my 2023 CE 04 back in July with just over 300 miles on it, so probably a pretty similar scenario. I was a bit concerned about any degradation of the traction battery due to sitting around not doing much for nearly a year, but that concern turned out not to be an issue as range has been...
I’d like to suggest that pressure washers aren’t really a great idea where motorcycles are concerned. Seals and bearings are relatively exposed on a bike compared to an automobile where with a PW you are mostly just cleaning off an outer shell. Personally I have always used the time-honoured...
UK member here – welcome! Great choice for your first bike. Well done for keeping it safe. I had a few mishaps when I acquired my first motorcycle, but I was 17 at the time… (now coming up 66). Put up a few photos in the ‘Post your pics’ thread sometime!
Thanks Mike, having had the machine for a little while now I have become used to the fact that the predicted range can vary quite a lot depending on how the bike has been used previously. If I have been pootling around on back roads at relatively low speeds it can be quite optimistic, on the...
I will keep images below 1024px max dimension and that should do it.
Agreed, that’s definitely old school in terms of what even the most basic smart phone is now capable of…
BTW I must also credit @triangletom for all the pics he has previously posted, including entire threads! His pics are one of the things that made up my mind on purchase. No regrets so far at all…
While on topic, does anyone else struggle uploading pics to this forum? There must be a list of criteria somewhere, but it’s still very much trial and error for me :-(
