I have noticed pretty consistently that my CE-04 shows a speed 2-3 mph faster than what the radar speed sign shows. Anyone else notice something similar?
Example of radar speed sign just so everyone knows what I'm talking about.
You got off cheap. I paid $270 for my 600 mile service. And they're supposed to do more than change the transmission fluid. They're supposed to check the drive belt and see if it needs adjusting, and do so if necessary. In the back of the manual, there's a long checklist of things they're...
I bought my CE-04 last August and have of course done the 600 mile service. Soon after, the bike started popping up a notice that I need yet another service check for the brakes, which is apparently at the year mark. I finally called to make an appointment and ... the next appointment available...
Hopefully, it'll all be a moot point as I'm hoping they eventually come out with a CE-06 with even more power and range. Although it wouldn't surprise me if Honda doesn't beat BMW to the punch and for less money.
@triangletom I hope you're right. I admit much of my concern is because this is all so new and we don't really have much history to judge how reliable this will all be.
BTW, I looked up part number 12 38 7 915 202 and it seems to have a price tag of $7K, which is to my point. At that price...
I surmising this based on a couple articles I've read. One is from totalmotorcycle.com where they state:
Also, in researching rechargeable lithium batteries, I found at au.renogy.com ...
So, I don't think it's any accident that BMW ends the battery warranty at 5 years or just under...
"I estimate that only about 250 were sold in the USA during 2022"
That's probably due to poor inventory availability in 2022. When I bought mine here in Utah, we got a whopping TWO for the whole state. There was a wait list of 15. Of the two we got in, there was one avantgarde model and one...
Come on! You own the "Avantgarde" model, not the "brown" model. 🙄 Avantgarde sounds so much more sophisticated.
But seriously, I don't understand putting on a blue so dark that it might as well be black.
I rode to work this morning with the new windscreen. While the wind blast is better, I still get hit from about the collar bone up. I'm 6' but long torso and sit as tall as a guy 6'3". The other issue for me is left turns cause the windscreen to run into my radar mount. So, I'll have to figure...
You might be able to install the hardware, but are you sure the alarm menu option in the console just automagically shows up? I think you will need special software to activate that feature in the console. Plus, activating it so the alarm button on your fob will work may need some software...
Hmmmm ... "Combining minimalist elegance with a true urban range of 150+ miles," Is "minimalist" a nice way of saying "we couldn't afford a real designer"? Kind of an unattractive design.
Since I only use mine for commuting, it's just not worth worrying about a cruise control. There's never a long enough stretch before a stop light comes up to have that need.
Same here. I just can't bring myself to slapping big ugly boxes onto a beautiful bike. I always cringe when I see a BMW GS bike with those butt ugly aluminum square lunch boxes strapped to it.
Reminds me of the old saying, if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. So, I guess if all you have is a scooter, it might seem like an amphibious vehicle.
Anyone else seeing this when leaving the bike on an overnight charge? The manual says I should take it to get checked out, but the light goes away after a couple minutes of riding.
