Gear Racing shock for C650 Sport

The shock has arrived from Taiwan. It looks like the real deal, the black edition hopefully will hide the white spring and show some interesting understated colors for those who‘s looking. Looks a very big diameter. Can’t wait to have it installed soon… my stock shock is pretty much fæcked now...

    Toppling the C650s…

When i think of what could be better than the C650 series… just watched a youtube vid on Yamaha MT-07 and came up with this….what a hoot If anyone from Yamaha reading this Please introduce a new model… MT-Max 700 SP, with CP2 engine and Öhlins shocks The cylinders are up there, so forget the...

    Malossi Variator and Clutch

More on topic - Malossi MHR 2000 is made to run at high revs always, 7000rpm which is 2000 more than stock I believe. It sounds annoying to all road users incl. the rider :) that’s why they spell “racing use only”. You may find the chart somewhere. Higher revs equal higher wear plus higher...

    Malossi Variator and Clutch

IDK what is available, but my impression from a 1-day riding C400X is that it is choked by the exhaust, not variator or clutch. Clutch seemed perfect, frankly. I would advise some exhaust mods first. GPR Pentaroad, perhaps. It is homologated. My GPR Furore 4 Evo on my C650 Sport doing wonders...

    Serendipity and my new GT

Thanks Delray - I think my Sport gives me something in between your two bikes, probably not so good as each of them but a 2-in-1. That Schuberth C5 on motoin.de site shows me AU$873.11 for XL size Silver color which is probably US$599. They must like you yankees! ;) or are they made in US ...

Gear Racing shock for C650 Sport

G’day Rollers, has any of you tried or even heard of this product? https://www.gears-racing.com/products/h2-bm105r It looks a better product than the single-adjustment YSS or Malossi aka Paioli, or the Matrix with no spring (Use your OEM spring, they say) I am tempted…my rear shock is too jumpy...

    2013 drive belt replacement C650gt

Bando belts tend to be shorter, giving you a quicker spinup at the cost of top velocity.

    2020 bmw c650gt rollers placement

Given such drastic difference in roller weights between your 2013 and my 2017 models - 30g vs 43g, I suspect that BMW simply copied Dr.Pulleys variator design which also uses 43g rollers. To tell the truth, I was quite happy with mine and will probably go back to it - only with Dr.Pulleys...

    Serendipity and my new GT

What a beauty of a scoot! Well done. Is there really a reason to prefer the Burgy? My feeling of C650GT was that it is almost as fast and neat in corners as my Sport, only with a better suspension and wind protection, both adding to comfort and removing the feeling of speed. I HAD TO look at the...

    Transmission upgrade after 2016 models

My 2017 CVT had 43g rollers upon weighing. At next round (+20kkm) I will put 43g Dr.Pulleys into stock CVT.

    Transmission upgrade after 2016 models

OK the J.Costa with 25g is bearable, some higher revving did happen before the belt wore in properly and settled. Now it is probably 600 rpm higher than stock CVT but why I am seeing 4.5L/100km ? It was 4.6 before, hmm. It kind go goads you into more sportier ride, but not too distracting. I...

Mad Hornets CVT Belt Failure @ 4k

Never heard of Mad Hornets, the following companies are Japanese - BANDO, MITSUBOSHI. Italian Malossi is also a reputable maker, their product is sold via malossistore.com

Did the lighter rollers increased rpm at same speed?

Exhaust and filter, but not variator and suspension yet

    I'm sad

i am glad I am in Australia so I can ride all year round. Just had a ride on a C400GT for the first time and boy it is no match for my half-tuned C650 Sport. The only two things I liked about C400 is nice comfy seat and position, plus the smooth clutch operation. But the engine, tranny...

    Transmission upgrade after 2016 models

They really sorted CVT in these puppies. As usual, slightly lighter rollers can help a bit more, and you get them lighter when they wear naturally ha ha… Now mine is worn so I shall install J.Costa with 25g rollers soon and let you know.

They stopped producing 650GT in 2020, and parts are still available.

    6 year review

I’d spin a similar yarn about a new Tiger 1200 GT Pro which I found too much to shift in the city, sold back to dealer and stayed with my C650 Sport. Just went back from a 200km trip which included 20km gravel washboard road made by earthmover trucks. Not ideal but doable. The right handguard...
