On both of my 2013 gt the seat barely moves when I unlock it. I think this is due to the latch and not the strut.

Yes I had one for my Heltx clone that I never installed (was to afraid to cut hole in seat). Ordered one for the 650 and it was easy to install. Came with the purse. It won’t help if you need more space to the rear.

I don’t know about the 400 seat but if it has an adjustable pad like the 650gt then you might want to check out a Utopia brand back rest. I got one for my 650gt and I am no longer slouching or slumping while riding. It made a big difference in my longer distance riding.

I was told that panels would not be available in original colors. Try asking if an unpainted panel is available.

I used to buy Kenda 413s for my Chinese Helix clone. They only lasted 7000-8000 miles but handled very nicely.

I must add that their hoses have right angle chucks.

I have no trouble using the the air machines at the local QTs (Quik Trip convenience stores) to air the tires on my 2013 GT.

Also if the bike starts to stall at stop signs or traffic lights you need to check the idle actuator vacuum lines. Specially molded rubber hoses that are cheap by themselves but about 1 1/2 hours of labor to uncover replace and recover them.

Do you know who made the crash bars? Wunderlich does not have them for the 650 anymore.

Read my comment from may30. Gust of wind pushed panel out far enough for hiway speed wind to catch panel and tear it off bike. That front screw is there for a reason. Find a way to make it work.

I ordered a pair of Cyclops and installed them myself. I Han no problems with the canbus.

Only ones I know of are Givi Pl5106 or Kappa Kl5106. Unfortunately they are out of production. Keep watching different forums and you might luck out like I did.

Try asking the dealer (or bmw Germany) if they know what the paint code is then go to an auto paint store.
