CE-04 vs. 600 cc ICE Question.

I wouldn't hold my breath, re "another year or two." My local back-road goofing-off day trips are all 150 - 250 miles, typically in VERY rural settings, wherever I happen to wander (often on roads that I'm taking just because I've never been on them before). I have to fill up with gas once or...

Click on the Auto-translate rectangle area just below that French (auto-generated) area. See the pick under 2) in my post above (after clicking on the Subtitle line -- see pic under item 1)).

The New Vision CE from BMW

For many videos, YouTube will generate subtitles in a language of your choice. That includes this one, and here's what you need to do: 1) Click on the gear, i.e., the settings icon, which brings up this screen. Then, click on the Subtitles/CC (Closed Captioning) icon: 2) That brings up...

    2019 c400gt Display

I'd say that it's possible ... but not at all practical. I believe that the larger TFT is/was an option on the '24 or '25 GT. To change over from the smaller TFT you'd need: the bigger TFT; the plastic trim piece(s) that surround and support it; and possibly a new windscreen. (I'm not sure...

    Hello from Ireland

In the it’s-a-small-world department, one of my granddaughters is currently doing a semester abroad in Dingle (County Kerry), at Sacred Heart. She’s enjoying herself immensely.

C 400 GT: Anyone Figure Out A Way To Add A TPMS?

If that works for you, more power to you. For me: 1) I was concerned how close that spinning sensor would be, and whether a change of brake pads might affect that clearance. 2) In care you weren't aware of this, eventually -- after a year or so researching this issue -- I got actual BMW...

    New bike!

Welcome from New York State, i.e., across the pond. One of my granddaughters is currently doing a semester abroad at Sacred Heart in Dingle (Co. Kerry), and enjoying it immensely. I'm a C 400 GT owner, never had a 650 Beemer (although I did own a couple of Burgman 650s), but from my reading of...

I’m surprised. Did you try your entering your VIN at both of those sites?

    VIN code

These are the two VIN-breakdown sites that I found most useful (when I needed to determine the build date of my '23 C 400 GT): https://bimmer.work/ https://www.mdecoder.com/

    C400x tail bag options

Nope, I had no problem with the underseat strap during the 2,000-mile trip I made with that setup. But as I mentioned, I had that strap fairly loose, for (unneeded) backup purposes, while the rack-attached straps were very tight and did all the real work, in terms of holding the bag in place.

    C400x tail bag options

In my case, yep, one of the straps from the Saddlemen is going under the seat, but that's just sort of a back-up. The main holding system are its other straps through open areas in the BMW luggage rack. Take a look at https://billanddot.com/C400GT/#S-67 and the next two pics in my C 400 GT...

    C400X Opinions and Maintenance Schedule/Cost

Actually, my manual says initially after one year, and then every two years: So I'd go ahead and have the brake fluid changed (or do it yourself), based on the manual, and given that the fluid is hygroscopic (i.e., is subject to absorbing moisture).

    C400x tail bag options

Ah, I see. Sorry I misunderstood your question. Regarding those smaller bags, like your current one: I got nuthin'. Have you considered adding a top case (in which case I recommend the adjustable-size Shad 58x or 59x)?

    C400x tail bag options

If I understand your question correctly -- that is, if you're looking for a bag to lay across the passenger seat -- I have two recommendations: https://www.aerostich.com/products/medium-motofizz-camping-seat-bag https://www.saddlemen.com/tr3300de-deluxe-rack-bag-universal-1 The first is the...

C400GT ENGINE CONTROL FAILED! How to fix?

    1) What @Ceesie76 said above. 2) Does the message say anything about not riding the bike, or "safe to ride," or some other information like that? 3) Do you have a BMW dealer you can travel to, or tow the bike to? 4) Just out of curiosity, what year is your C 400 GT, and how many miles on it...

It's been fun, but I've gone to the dark side......

Enjoy your new ride. Nothing particularly wrong with a Harley. A lot of posers, of course, but that's true for a lot of brands. I've never owned one, either, but I did rent a couple on vacations, for enjoying local destinations. And I owned a couple of huge baggers, over the years. - A Honda...

How to start CE 04 without the key fob (lost or damaged fob)

    1) Mike, I'm sorry about all your travails. 2) FWIW -- worth something? nothing? -- I have this routine that I do, every time I'm about to take off ... first thing in the day, after a rest stop, after lunch, that sort of thing. A) Go to the back of the scoot, and check that the latch is...
