CE 04 Predicted Range vs. Odometer

The Victory Cross Country Tour that I bought in new in 2012 came with self-cancelling signals, and also my former '22 and current '23 C 400 GTs. So I have, um, let's see, about nine or ten years of riding bikes, two brands, with self-cancelling signals ... and I would prefer that that feature...

CE 04 Charger locked on bike after charging

That's the same deal with my current '23 and my former '22 C 400 GTs: gas cap unlocks in the presence of the fob, within a minute or something like that of turning off the bike. I think there's a thread on this issue in the 400 forum. In any event, a gas-cap problem is not a show-stopper for...

fuel pump failure causing camshaft damage? Wth is going on w/ this scoot?

With such low mileage, yes, I think you contact BMW: [email protected] . They might at least give you a "good will" discount on the motor or labor or something. They might not, of course, but it'll just cost you some free time to ask for help.

    2025 TPMS

Congrats! And the screens look like mine, on my’23 GT?

    2025 TPMS

Nope, once again I don't know the answer. However, in my final receipt (see #53) there's this verbiage after the hardware: RDC SENSORS INSTALLED.VEHICLE SOFTWARE UPDATED TO RETROFIT RDC. WHEELS BALANCED. TEST RODE RDC READS CORRECTLY ON TFT. So, I understand your question (and learned...

    New 2024 C400GT Needs Engine

That strikes me as a good idea: whether @missphy6 actually gets a warranty extension (which I think is doubtful) or not, at least she will be on record as being concerned about the problem, getting the problem officially noted on corporate's records, etc. But I think a better way to start that...

    2025 TPMS

Regarding whether the electronic work (with a dealer's equivalent to a GS-911, et al.) is merely unlocking/activating an existing screen already buried in the TFT's firmware, or something more complicated than that (e.g., loading a new screen from some source): sorry, I have no idea. Same -- no...

    Radiator bracket attach problem.

Glad you figured it out. Good luck with your repair work.

    New 2024 C400GT Needs Engine

I don't think BMW produces bikes of particularly better or particularly worse quality than anyone else. In the absence of surveys such as the ones that Consumer Reports shows on autos, with tens (hundreds?) of thousand inputs, we may never know. As I reported three years ago...

    2025 TPMS

Yep, sensors installed, system works like a champ: 1) See final receipts and description in my post #53 here: www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/2025-tpms.3557/post-30463 2) I got one ride in afterwards (other than coming home from the shop the week before): (Incomplete map the result of a...

    *** IGNORE POST *** 2026 BMW C400GT

That video appears to me to be complete bullshit. The video shows four or five different bikes, in different colors and body styles, none of which has the BMW roundel, some seem to have dual exhausts, have different seats, and so on and so forth. That channel seems to have been setup for...

    New 2024 C400GT Needs Engine

    1) I'm sorry to hear that. 2) In case, as a new member, you haven't come across this yet, I wrote a couple of very long posts about a similar incident, two years ago: www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/bmw-swapped-out-my-used-22-c-400-gt-for-a-brand-new-23-c-400-gt-free-part-i-of-ii.2932/ The short...

    2025 TPMS

I assume you're talking about my post #53 here. If so, you're welcome, just trying to be informative to the community. If "$476.57 Out the Door" really comes to pass, that seems to me to be an excellent price. I assume your C 400 GT is newer than my July 2023 build date. Recall that Phad...

    2025 TPMS

    1) First of all, my apologies for the thread drift that you described. It's largely my posts that took up a lot of that non-'25 space here. In my defense, I had to put my saga somewhere, as there are some folks with pre-'25 C 400s that are very interested in the topic. I probably should've put...

Dooring accident, 2025 scooter deemed total loss.

I would not have been riding in a car-park “lane,” but that’s me.

    Radiator bracket attach problem.

Looking at the parts fiche at MAX BMW ... https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=57522&rnd=10232024 ... it doesn't appear to me to show that bracket and its screws: My guess is: 1) That bracket is considered part of the radiator, i.e., it would come already attached, if...

Dooring accident, 2025 scooter deemed total loss.

Well, that might have caused any bike to be totaled. But, yes, I think scooters are more likely to be totaled by insurance companies because scooters have more body plastic to replace, and because scooters are generally less expensive when new than a lot of regular bikes. Glad you’re okay.

    cruise control

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. 1) I had an Atlas on my second Burgman 650 for a few years. It was installed by the Atlas folks themselves, one year at their booth at the Americade rally (which is about an hour's ride north of my house). One day, out riding with my wife as...
