Wrapping up, sliders, variator, etc, 2nd gen

Well, something is wrong from this install a few weeks back. I installed the sliders with the "line" on them pointing up, so you can read the label on them, flat side towards the center of the unit. Did a few hundred miles this weekend error free, but this am on way to work, a lot of belt...

Going back on..yes, coming off..not for an hour did that do anything, it came SOME off, but that was it. Do you notice more belt noise at idle, and more spin up and down "whurring"?

    ECU Reflash

Kinda surprised there's no info on this. If it has maps, it can be optimized. ;) I have a friend in Greece that does this for a living, I just need to DL the file from the ECU..THAT'S the hard ($) part...

Nah, I studied. That wasnt a problem. Was prepared for that bolt. Im my 2018, there are bearings in the cover, that sit over the shaft ends of the clutch and variator shafts. Note the threaded holes in the covers that are meant to, on the clutch side, insert a bolt to turn in and push off...

    An LED bulb that seals?

Ok..cool. The traditional LED sets, with the heat sinks out back... How much room is there behind the assy for the sinks?

Well, gotta pull it off, its on bloody bearings. Doesnt match the instructions..but it came. With the Dr Pulley sliders, seems the belt flaps around a bit more/louder, and theres a much louder "whirrrr" turbine noise than there was before.

Why wont my clutch and variator cover come off. All the bolts are off and it rocks back-and-forth and if I tap it sounds loose but it will not come off

    Larger windscreen for C650GT

Too big for oven..and yes, its clear that the holes from a flat piece, to a curved piece...do not flow to the RIGHT horizontal locations. They right way to do this, that they are not doing, is the form that they heat mold to, should have plugs for the holes to have to meet by expanding the...

    Stop-Sell order issued..

My parts guy informed me of a stop-sell condition on 650s, where there is an issue with "front brake line(s)" at full left turn lock under "A condition" and may lead to stress. There is a fix, it seems, but is still internal and only data listed in German he shows at this time. Just...

    Larger windscreen for C650GT

I have the tall Aeroflow, and..im going to have to modify at least one hole. With one side located (not tight) I can just barely spread the screen curve, and the top two on one wide will fit, but not the bottom. https://www.flickr.com/gp/28804666@N08/3s629k Im guessing that this is because...

    Twas a normal day...*sigh*

Until I went to the dealer to have my top box and GPS installed. Both missing critical hardware..the top box didnt get the rails ordered.. The GPS MOUT came, but also seems to require a bracket...which wasnt ordered. Aaaand, the Aeroflow screen arrived, and the holes for it are _way_ off...

Is there a brace I can borrow in Norcal? Not replacing the clutch, this appears quite simple..

Wrapping up, sliders, variator, etc, 2nd gen

..I guess I need a Kaoko now too... Stay tuned...I need to catch up on the "right" weight or combination of weights..I dont mind the stock clutch engagement/release. I really don't notice it. I drove a Tmax in Thailand last year, that was _impossible_ in traditional city traffic there...just...

Im prepared to order this, but Im looking for a wrench buddy in Norcal...i'm an apt and dont have to direct resources at home...to do this. I am not against a local trusted mechanic to do it either, as i understand it is not a long job..

    Buying choices are narrowing down..

Very possibly. Depends on timing/etc. Bike had it's first drop already. At a friends house he asked if he could move it a few feet to get a ladder. ...dropped it. Albeit in slow motion...from across the garage I just laughed..sighed. He's brand new to motorcycles, and thought it would...
