I got a really short reply from them, just "we do't sell springs for your bike" LOL. They actually sell lowering springs for it but I don't want to lower the bike, weird. They show a full shock with external reservoir for the GT model so I asked about that, maybe I'll get more info this time...
I took my bike back today and left it for an hour. The shop said they would update the software and adjust the oil level. The shop manager said he thinks it needs to be slightly overfilled. On the way home I stopped for gas and -you guessed it- pulling away from the pump the check oil warning...
Yeah I hear you. I'd hate to spend $600 on a new Malossi shock and have it not be an improvement for instance. On my dirt bikes it was just a normal process, get the bike, get a suspension shop to tune it to your specs. Here in the states there are so few scooters I'm not sure the shops really...
I went by the local dealer today and asked for a quote for brake pads, 2016 C650 Sport front and rear. Approximately $320 with tax, yikes! I ended up ordering EBC HH pads the rear from eBay and the fronts on sale from Cycle Gear, $85 with tax. I hope I can stop my scooter with those cheap EBC...
Kind of an FYI here, I don't see this discussed on the forum, but I didn't look too hard. On the test drive of my C650S the check oil warning came on. I told the salesman that was a no go. He was embarrassed and back to the shop it went When it came out an hour later the light was gone they said...
Good thread, I ordered a center ball hydraulic reservoir, short arm, and Quick Grip XL phone mount with ball for my C650 Sport after reading through and having a look at my bike. Nice system just way too many choices!
Bummer about your transmission woes but thank you for the shock knowledge. I’m sure all of us here hope you will go forward with your shock replacement and share the experience. I’m not in a burning hurry to change my bike unless my wife says she doesn’t want to ride it. Maybe I’ll get her a new...
Super happy with the Speedmetal Large cover, $80, perfect fit on my C650 Sport. Hopefully it will last a long time. Although I have my doubts about the clear plastic window in my hot climate. Thanks!
How big of a deal was this? My (new to me) 2016 C650 Sport does not have the hydraulic cam chain tensioner. Pics of the hydraulic fitting were posted in another thread. But it does have 9300 miles on it and runs well. Was this a factory recall or just a desirable upgrade? I have the "don't fix...
I just picked up a C650 Sport. I wanted it for riding two up with the wife. Together it's a load, 350 pounds, plus whatever we carry under the seat. Riding around the dealership I thought the suspension was pretty good with both of us onboard. But after subsequent longer and more aggressive...
I just got a 2016 C650 Sport as well. How did it go with the hydraulic timing chain tensioner? Mine has 9300 miles and it does not have the hydraulic fitting shown. I am new to the bike but don't hear any annoying rattling.
Thanks for the links to suppliers,
I am interested in upgrading the rear shock on my 2016 C650 Sport. I bought it used to facilitate two up riding with my wife, approx 350 pounds total. On our first rides together she said the suspension seems harsh. Since the GT and Sport appear to have different dimensions I'll move on, maybe...
Another post recommended the "Carcovers.com. I have a 2020 C650 GT. I bought the Platinum Shield Scooter Cover".
I went with the first suggestion (Speedmetal) because I could get it from Cycle Gear in two days and returns and exchanges are easy. I measured my Sport and the Large size should be...
