Do you always wear your helmet?

Helmets aren't required here in IL. While I'm all about freedom of choice, I really don't get what is so great about riding without a helmet. I got on the highway once without my jacket and it was the worst feeling ever. I can't imagine riding with no helmet.

More C600 windscreen choices than just GIVI...

I'm 6 foot tall. With the stock windshield on the c600, I get some massive buffeting in the highest position when getting up to about 70mph or so. So much buffeting that it actually makes it hard to ride. My helmet is getting knocked around like I'm sparring with Floyd Mayweather. I find...

I have come to one inescapable conclusion.

I've been known to skip out on work to go ride when weather is nice.

    I'm convinced! My new C600

Mine came with those panels, but I took them off. Scoot looks better w/o imho. My co-worker's scoot didn't come with them though.

    All Sport-Maxi Tour!

I've found most motorcyclist to be pleasantly surprised about our scoots. First, most know nothing about them. Second, they are surprised they are "scooters". Third, I sense some buyers remorse in that they are thinking that scoot looks really cool and practical.... wish I would have known...

    Prospect Satisfaction Index

My BMW dealer is ok. The facility is nice - clean, modern, coffee, free wifi, etc However, I found the service manager to be somewhat of a prick the two times I brought my bike in for service. The sale guy was nice after he figured I was ready to buy, but initially it seemed like I was being...

    Prospect Satisfaction Index

Dealership quality does not necessarily mean product reliability. The two can be totally unrelated. Generally, dealers that are selling higher end products tend to be nicer in my experience, but that doesn't mean the product is more reliable. For example, world of difference between a BMW car...

    BMW LED turn indicators

That is my assumption which is why that company made that resistor.

    BMW LED turn indicators

Apparently some company makes this resistor so that LEDs won't trigger the CANBUS warning. BMW LED Load Resistor - webBikeWorld

    Helmets - again!!

Same here. I've seen way too many videos of people kissing the asphalt while wearing open face helmets. The only time I typically will wear an open face helmet is when I am on Martha's Vineyard where we have a 50cc Vespa and half helmets. Otherwise, I'm pretty much full face all the time now...

How Long Do You Let The Engine Warm Up

About a minute or two. I basically start the engine and just let it warm up while I put my helmet and gear on.

    Helmets - again!!

I ride with glasses. I use a Nolan N44. Love the helmet because it has the widest field of vision - almost like wearing a 3/4 helmet. I find my glasses with thicker rims work seating comfortably with the helmet on better than my flimsier spectacles.

I can't take this any more!!

Scary. That's why I typically won't ride here when temps dip below freezing even if it may warm up by the afternoon. There are a few car washes on my way to the office. There have been occasions where their water run off has caused sheets of ice out on the road. We also get a lot of standing...

    I got hit!

That sucks. I swear, it is almost impossible to have nice sh*t these days. Accidents happen but when someone blatantly does something to someone else's property and doesn't even leave a note... Karma I as motherfu...you know. Hope some Final Destination stuff happens to them.

    Semi-Active Suspension

Has anyone had any experience with semi-active suspension? I'm putting a deposit on an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso and it comes with Sachs semi-active suspension. Basically, the suspension reads the road and adjust dampening in real time. Ducati calls it Skyhook. I believe the BMW Gs1200...

I can't take this any more!!

Honestly, it has been so cold here that the 45 degree temps last night felt almost summer like. We still need a good rain to wash some of the road salt away. I was a little nervous around some of the corners. My co-worker who has a C600 too rode his in to work today. his first ride of the...

I can't take this any more!!

Woo Hoo! Took my first ride of the year! I just rode to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Man it felt good.

    Starting problem

I've noticed my bike seems hard to start after sitting in the cold garage for a few weeks. At first I thought it might be some parasitic drain on the battery, but I think it is something else. It seems like it is struggling to start and the pistons almost seem stuck or something like they are...

    meaning of your username

I've had my name a long time. I started using it in high school back in the AOL / CompuServe / Commodore 64 days. It pokes fun at ebonics and being overly educated.
