I'm Convinced, the Epilogue; or simply, I replaced my C600

Just teasing, glad you got some rain with that drought you have out there. We were having a drought in Massachusetts too. I got to say, if I have a weekend ride planned and rain is predicted, I go anyway. To few riding days to be fussy.

I'm Convinced, the Epilogue; or simply, I replaced my C600

Yeah, I can understand why you wouldn't be riding it with all the snow you get !! Here in New England it warmed up to forty over the weekend, I would have gone for a ride but wasn't feeling good with the flu.

    CAM Chain Tensioner...AGAIN

My Silverwing made a racket when it was winter temperatures until it warmed up . I started turning the shed heater on to warm the bike before I went for a ride in the winter.

    CAM Chain Tensioner...AGAIN

I think the belt might take a slight "set" from the crunch of the pulleys while not moving. When you start the engine this would possible make more noise and go away as the belt warms up. I have seen this on industrial variable drives I have worked on. Of course I haven't heard the noise in...

    Electrical diagrams/wire colors

You could work back from the high beam, or forward from the high beam switch. Or, put in a new complete circuit. I tend to put in complete circuits to avoid overloading minimalist electrical systems.

Rode the scooter in 25 degree F weather last Friday.

I did my time in the military, and sometimes I will blouse pants if they are extra long, but, for heavy motorcycle pants or coveralls a velcro strap on the outside is easier to get a good tight seal to keep out the cold air and or snow.

Rode the scooter in 25 degree F weather last Friday.

Yes, air infiltration past the cuffs is a problem with any pants, I always use velcro straps around the cuffs when riding colder temps. If your strap will go around more than once you can get a much better seal. Using straps also allows wearing longer length pants without tripping on the cuffs...

Rode the scooter in 25 degree F weather last Friday.

For cold weather, a one piece suit is the way to go. I have a Carhartt Arctic Extremes coverall which is made from 1000 denier Cordora . This is heavier then the Aerostich and about $700 bucks cheaper...

Rockin Sound System for 2016 BMW C650GT

I have tried just about every option for listening except a neurophone (to expensive) . I agree that the best sound comes from in ear options, what ever that may be. KOSS makes a cheap set ($19) with foam cushions that is excellent for keeping outside noise out. I found the foam a little short...

What has everybody been up yo?

I started building a one wheel trailer a couple of years ago. I decided I didn't really need one, so put the project on hold. Electric motorcycles might get the project back in gear, as I could use the trailer to haul the generator to charge the battery.

    Which battery tender to use?

My tender wire comes out at the handle bars. I plug in year round whenever not riding. The connection comes out just below the aux fuse box just to the left of the bag.

Black flies. Questions for our Canadian friends !!

Ok, thanks, I will get back to you next June with on the spot reports. Maine and New Hampshire have black flies, I know from experience, they are spring bugs, and last for a few weeks. I live along the coast in Massachusetts, and we get annoying bugs all Summer; "midges" at dusk ( smaller then a...
