Electric bikes are very tempting. As soon as I can take one on an all day ride, I will have one. I am surprised they haven't been faired to increase high speed mileage.

Having just gotten back from a 2600 mile tour, I will say I never wished for a naked bike while touring. Faired bikes are my preference.

I use a new gasket and sealer. If the old gasket fails it is just a channel between the sealant!!

I liked the "Roamer" too, but, it doesn't have an auto transmission and the good weather protection, or several other features I like.

You don't need to change that gasket just for a chain housing oil change.

There are some screw seals you might want to have , if only because you loose one, or they are munged up. Look at the parts drawing. Also get the gasket, as it would be annoying to have the housing leak. And make sure your torx bits are correct for the drain and fill bolts as they are very...

Oh sorry, I read further, guess I was right. One reason I got away from fixing vehicles, people would accuse you of charging you to much when they had no idea of what was involved in doing the job. You owe the dealer an apology.

Sounds reasonable to me and I have been a mechanic most of my life. 15 minutes just about covers getting the bike in and out of the shop and unlocking your tool box, and maybe getting the parts out of the box!! I bet you couldn't do the whole job in fifteen minutes.
