Not really. It's not uncommon to have 12V batteries die after four years, that can happen. It probably should last longer in the CE04 since that kind of has a built-in battery tender, but if it has been subjected to harsh conditions, possible. They're not that expensive anyway, but if mine dies...

@TVsFrank, that would also interest me. The problem I see is that the device is mounted on the handlebar, so needs to rotate, and the power is fixed to the bike, so some (unsightly) slack is probably necessary and unavoidable.

It depends on the firmware. AFAIK it's only in the newest 15- firmware. Mine's still on the 12- firmware and doesn't have it, either.

Umm, what? Autocorrect got the better of you? Apparently the lights for the S1000R are identical and much cheaper. They only have a shorter wire, so instead of disassembling half the scooter to plug the replacement part in you just cut off the wires off the old one and solder on the new ones.

I'm thinking of getting those, too. Especially since the brake lights are so far down. What's your opinion on it?
