    Shad top case size??

Interesting, I'm doing the same but all I get is "Your VIN is processing, please wait a few seconds!" and a repeating countdown. Maybe the site doesn't work with the US models, but it would be strange if it didn't.

    Shad top case size??

Sadly, that doesn't seem to work anymore.

    On-board battery status.

Yeah, when mine dies (it's a 2023 model but was new when I bought it a month ago) I'll likely replace it with a LiFePO4 battery. Did that with my GS years ago and it's still going strong.

    Shad top case size??

Did you find that online somewhere? I have the window sticker for my bike, but that list would be helpful...

    Shad top case size??

Yes, that looks likely. I've found another thread here about it, and apparently it's not tall enough for a rider over, say, 5"10" anyway. I have the Puig, that's plenty tall, but they could have improved the mounting a bit. Thanks!

    Shad top case size??

May I ask what windscreen that is? I have the Puig, but that doesn't have the extension arms, so it's a bit floppy. Yours looks a lot better in that respect.

    Shad top case size??

Red, orange, but yes, I think we're talking about the same things. Don't sweat it. There's really no place shavings could get into that would do any damage. I've drilled it freehand while mounted on the bike. A bit of canned air at the end and that was it.

    Shad top case size??

There's more than one way to skin a cat. As long as it's sturdy and can't fall off or loosen over time, I'd say go for it. I didn't need the u-bracket things at all, but was a bit surprised how soft the red Shad inserts were. Didn't allow for a whole lot of torque on the screws. Although I find...

    Shad top case size??

Not really. If either the Shad plate or the Wunderlich rack were designed to fit any conceivable combination of components you could use, they'd be less of mounting plates and more like swiss cheese. I was able to line up two of the front holes in the Shad plate to slots in the rack plate, and...

    CE04 Center Stand Installation

No, you can hang them directly onto the pin that's behind the fairing. And yes, everything on the kickstand. But as I said, you'll need to use the coin trick to stretch the springs as you have about zero leverage to stretch them down there.

Removing/replacing CE 04 heated comfort seat?

Since the pelvic support (aka "hump") on my seat doesn't seem to agree with my height, I think I'll have it upholstered and will likely remove the hump entirely in the process. Can anyone who has the seat without the hump tell me if you think that's something you miss? I wouldn't say it provides...

    Shad top case size??

    Pretty much like Haribo ;-)

    Shad top case size??

I have the TR55 now on a Wunderlich luggage rack. Definitively not as wide as the mirrors and fits helmet, gloves, jacket and back protector easily.

Work stand - how to support the front end to remove front wheel?

Sounds good, thanks! I'll probably get one, too, then I won't have to mess with the large stand I have for the GS. Apparently, at least with the Pirellis, the front tire goes much earlier than the rear.

    CE04 Center Stand Installation

Yes, yes and yes. I had to remove a small fairing on the right side (just one T25 screw and two clips that just pop out) to be able to install the screw on that side. I also had an extra taller bushing and that lonely washer, no idea why. I initially thought that there was a part missing, but...

    CE04 Center Stand Installation

Just in case that's still relevant, I just installed my center stand, but I couldn't find instructions online, either. It's pretty easy, the only hard part is the installation of the springs. I used the coin trick for that, you put one end of the spring in a vise, bend it so you can insert...

Work stand - how to support the front end to remove front wheel?

Looks like I was smart when I bought the 22mm for the GS. The one I have is a multi-bit hex, with four different sizes in one, 19 among them.

Seat upholstry UV/sun damage BMW CE04

Reviving this thread as it looks like I'll have to park my CE04 in the (Mississippi) sun during the day, so I'll likely run into this as well. Has anyone tried using a seat cover to prevent this? This one doesn't look too bad and may even provide some more comfort and cooling...

Work stand - how to support the front end to remove front wheel?

That might or might not work, depending on the geometry of the bike and the height of the center stand. You'll likely need to lift the front at least 3-4" so that the forks relax and the tire actually comes off the ground. By then, as you're tilting the bike backwards, the rear tire might...

Work stand - how to support the front end to remove front wheel?

That's certainly a possibility, especially as the stand is shorter than on a regular motorbike and therefore probably less forward movement is needed to have it jump off the stand. On my GS you really need to push the bike forward 4-5" before it comes off the stand. I'll see. But do report how...
