Hi guys, My timing chain tensioner has gone bad, I have 13,500 miles on the bike. Dealership doesn’t have a slot for the next two months. Has someone replaced this part and able to send me a guide and what parts I need. Bike is 2016, I guess I will need the mechanical tensioner. Thank you, Ben

In case they are correct, does the variator position matter? I’ve seen a video where when they replace it they mark it with a line. Maybe something out of sync?? … I suspect they did something wrong as this is a BMW dealership but who knows.

Yes, definitely. Bike is much louder as it works on higher rpm and it feels like it works harder. It’s much faster though except for the short lag at start.
