    New CE-04 - 2 things don't seem right

I developed a rattle coming from the back end that took me a while to diagnose. I kept thinking it was a rattle coming from the taillights as well. Turned out to be the license plate cover the dealership puts with their bikes was coming loose. I'd check that, as well as make sure that the...

Charging amps limit keeps defaulting to 6 amps

So we have about the same commute (y). My commute to and from work also involves a bit of both backroads, city traffic and about 5 miles of interstate (70+ MPH). I agree with you, that the interstate travel on this bike is where the battery drops really fast, especially if I have it off of ECO...

    CE-04 Taillight Solution

I ordered a set a few months back. I did not have the option of ordering US vs European version. What I got will not fit my US bike. I can make then work by cutting off one of the on side if the tabs, but haven't gotten around to doing that. Live and learn I guess :( .

Charging amps limit keeps defaulting to 6 amps

Unless you're in a hurry, 6a is better on the battery than the fast charging. I just leave it there as I rarely fast charge it. My typical day on this bike consists of a 30 mile round trip to and from work. I just plug it in overnight and I'm good to go for the next commute. If I have to fast...

    Charging basics 101

Bumping this thread again. We just got a Tesla Y for my wife and I had their wall charger installed. I purchased a Tesla to J1772 adapter and tried the Tesla charger for the first time vs the factory wall charger that came with the bike. I had the bike sitting idle for a couple of weeks and had...

    Backrest feedback, Givi vs Shad

This is what I purchaed and added to the screen, but I'll do you one better, I contacted CALSCI and asked if he could design a screen for my CE-04 (I have CALSCI on all my bikes) and low an behold He designed a couple of different ones that work much better than the BMW with the extension. But...

CE-04, no start, no lights...help please..!

YES!!! I had that issue when I first purchased my CE-04. When they tried to take it off the floor to prep it for my delivery, everything was dead, even though they charged the "main" batteries. Apparently, there is a secondary battery somewhere else—a smaller single battery, I assume, much like...

Shad 47 Install with Brake Light

I love it, and yes I would buy again. The backrest pad took a while to get in, but other than that, it’s been a great addition to the scooter. I have not added the brake light yet. I’ll get to it eventually.

Does the CE04 range drop dramatically at sustained 70mph?

70+ MPH does eat up your battery at a significant pace, but you should be fine. I'd carry the charger with me if you want to run more around. I can go all day with a full charge when I use it for work. For me, it's 12 miles each way with either 5 or 8 miles at 70+, but I typically do some more...

Shad 47 Install with Brake Light

This light will have to be spliced. On top of that, because of the design of the CE04, I’ll have to route the wires back to mid frame where the swing arm pivots and back via the same route the factory cables use. Basically , im going to have to extend the supplied harness.

Shad 47 Install with Brake Light

Greetings all. I installed a shad SH47 on my CE04, and I purchased a brake light kit to go with it. Being that this bike is so electronics sensitive, anyone know of or have knowledge of whether or not a can splice into the rear brake light on the Scooter? Thank you

    Seat options with seat heating

It's been a while since I sold my GT, but it's relatively easy to re-upholster a seat. That or you can do what I did, get yourself a Corbin Heated seat. It made a world of difference for me. Good luck

    So i emailed BMW U.S.A.

I've since sold my scooter, but I had that same "rattle" when I had mine. It would go away once the bike ran a few miles (warm-up) and yes, it sounded like the valve lifters needed adjusting. It sometimes sounded even worse, like piston slap or even a rod that was flopping around. It always...
