BMW does not care about me

Something just doesn't sound right. I've heard of there being supply chain issues for all kinds of products, but this just seems so extreme. I agree with the other poster, you need to get some specifics. What is the exact part and its identification number that is holding things up? How do...

I Don't Care What You Say, Scooters Are Cool

Finally someone at a publication had the guts to say it. I think a lot of motorcycle guys would be better off on scooters, but they are too worried about what others might say. When I was deciding to buy a bike, at first I really wanted a motorcycle, but after being honest with myself, I...

    EWS! Error

I ordered a Shorai lithium. Pricey, but I forgot I had a $50 credit I hadn't used at Revzilla so it wasn't too bad. Lithium batteries are less than half the weight of their lead counterparts and also hold voltage better. My other hobby is racing 1/10th and 1/8th scale remote controlled cars...

    EWS! Error

I discovered it is probably the battery last night. I put it back on the tender and now Ithe tender is saying something is wrong with the battery. I guess the cold weather here killed the battery. Whopping -15f today. Surprisingly though, my Vespa started right up with no problem and it...

    EWS! Error

The manual doesn't say anything. Just says possible cause: the key being used is not authorized for starting or communication between the key and engine electronics is disrupted. Remove other ignition keys located on ignition key. Use the reserve key. Have defective key replaced. There...

    EWS! Error

So I disconnected battery to charge it up on battery tender. When I reconnected battery in bike it won't start. I get an EWS! Error message which according to the manual is the immobilizer. Neither of my keys work. Any experience with this? Guess I'm going to have to call dealer to come...

    C650GT review in Rider magazine

I think the companies need to rebrand these bikes and stop calling them scooters. Some people's brains arent big enough to grasp the concept that riding a PTW isnt all about shifting gears. Scooter has a negative connotation among the slower thinkers in the PTW community. Dct or some...

    Greetings

I'm in Chicago(oak park) and love the c600. Most of my riding is in the loop for daily commuting. The c600 seems to fit the bill better for stop n go loop traffic and being a little more agile. I also liked that it looks a little more sporty. I also have a Vespa 300. Loved my Vespa but it...

No WONDER the BMW Scoots are selling big here!!!

They must be selling ok since BMW was only willing to offer $250 incentive on the 650 vs $1000 on the 600. I've never seen another in the flesh here in Chicago other than my co-workers c600. I know of someone who bought a 650 same time I bought mine. I get a lot of stares and inquires about...

Heated Grips Help Prevent Hand Cramping

The auto setting doesn't work well for me. I think you have to have sustained high speeds for it to work properly and since vast majority of my riding is in the city with stop and go traffic, it never keeps the grips warm enough. I rarely exceed 60mph for any length of time as I don't do a lot...

Heated Grips Help Prevent Hand Cramping

I LOVE my heated grips. I don't know how anyone rides here without them. The heated seat is nice too. Mine gets quite warm. I usually have to turn it off periodically. For both the grips and seat, I find the low setting doesn't get warm enough and the 100% setting gets a little hot after...

No WONDER the BMW Scoots are selling big here!!!

Yeah, the stink people made about the pricing was funny to me. I think a lot of people think $9k-$10k means "motorcycle" not a scooter. Many people are unable to get their heads around the maxi-scoot concept. The only thing that makes the BMW a scooter is the fact it has a CVT. It will...

    C650 in NY

I often park my vespa near bicycle racks with no issues, particularly when going to a store. The same with my C600. It just depends. I really wish more places would offer motorcycle/scooter parking.

    C650 in NY

So I was in NYC over Thanksgiving and I was really surprised at all the scoots I saw. I've been to NYC more times than I can count, but I wasn't really into scoots/motorcycles then, but now that I'm riding I guess I just notice them more on the street. I think I must have counted more than 75...

    Stalling, cold weather

Yeah, that is what I'm thinking. It is just odd that it developed after prolonged sitting. I would think it would have shown up on my last ride. Not sure how sitting for three weeks would cause a FI issue but who know? I'll bring it up with dealer when I get her in for first service. Hoping...

    Stalling, cold weather

Don't know yet. Too much snow in our alley so I can't get it out to street to ride around. I've had it idle before on center stand and never noticed it stall before. I couldnt find if there was maybe a safety restriction that prevents reving on center stand. However, it doesn't cut out...

    Stalling, cold weather

Yeah, wondering of it might be the gas. It started her up again today and it did the same thing. Idles fine, but if I give it a lot of gas it cuts out right at 3k rpm. It doesnt seem to do it if i just gradually give it gas. It is a noticeable stall but if you let up it keeps idling, however...

    Stalling, cold weather

I started her up again and this time it seemed to idle fine. The battery didn't seem like the voltage was low like before and it ran smoothly and didn't stall, even at the low rpm. Rev'd up and down the rpm range like it normally does.

    Stalling, cold weather

I haven't ridden in about 3 weeks now as the temps are solidly below freezing and we just got a few inches of snow today. :( Anyway, while in the garage I decide to start up my c600 so I could at least hear the engine. The first thing I noticed is that the battery seemed almost dead. It...

Mother Nature has closed me down

I haven't ridden in two weeks and really getting antsy. I almost rode yesterday as the temps were in the mid 50s but it was raining. A bit of a tease. I thought about riding today as the sun is out, but the high temp is just 31 degrees. We have issues with black ice, so it is a bit of risk...
