This sounds like timing chain failure since you didn’t specify which year you have. 8k miles seems to be the right mark for this to fail. BMW is great if you maintain it properly otherwise if you want to just turn key and ride get a tmax.

I have c650 sport and avoid turnpike you are a brave guy taking that c400 on that trip

At this point I’d be happy if they at least provide the parts and I’ll pay for labor cost.

Do you have a write up for this job that you followed? I’m contemplating doing this job myself and need guidance before I attempt to undertake it.

Did you happen to take pictures or follow a write up on how to do this properly? Mine is noisy at start up and bike sometimes stumbles upon acceleration until it warms up.

I have a 2016 model year but I think it was made in 12/15 so you are saying mine is mechanical?

I personally hate the way exhaust smells when you do that especially when I’m riding behind you.

Hey everyone I just bought a 2016 c650 sport but it only came with one key. Does anyone have any experience getting another key made for these scooters if so how did you go about it?

I have two Givi top cases that fit first gen c650gt with all hardware plus two keys each. Both cases have back pad. One has slight scuffs other is like new. Located in NYC asking $350 each but open to offers. Shipping at buyers expense.
