Battery self discharge and storing bike best practice

My 12V battery went completely dead leaving me stranded once....so much for the theory that the propulsion battery will reliably tend the smaller one. I hear this from electric car owners on occasion, too. My scooter had to be towed, which damaged it, and the dealer replaced the 12V under...

Battery self discharge and storing bike best practice

Great question. At the onset of Winter, I charge my scooter to 80%, and I attach a smart charger to the auxiliary 12V battery. Then upon the arrival of Spring weather, I'll attach the main charger and bring the charge up to 80% if needed, check tire pressures, remove trickle, and off I go.

    Banging crashing noise, front suspension...?

Dear friemds, since new, when ever going over even lightly rough pavement, I hear a loudwhat sounds like plastic-on-plastic crashing sound/rattle. Clearly not right. The bike has never been damaged in any way, nor has it ever hit a pothole or an obstacle that might have damaged the suspension...

Is seat deterioration warranted by BMW....recall or service bulletin??

Good morning friends. The OEM heated seat, dark/light gray, on My CE-04 with 1,800 miles, lightly used and garaged, has started to visibly degrade. I've read other similar customer experiences, albeit in Europe. Does any know how to locate an official manufacturer service bulletin instructing...

CE-04, no start, no lights...help please..!

That's right. I've come to learn that all electric vehicles, cars, scoots, cycles have a high voltage propulsion battery and a 12V secondary battery which powers the start cycle and I think maintains the ECU while bike parked/stored. This secondary system is supposed to receive a charge from the...

CE-04, no start, no lights...help please..!

Final note when I reclaimed my scoot not only did they replace the 12v AGM but the tech installed a pigtail in the 12v by which I can attach a smart charger! Well done! Beyond expectations

CE-04, no start, no lights...help please..!

For the benefit of people following this thread, my dealer diagnosed the issue as a faulty 12V battery and replaced it under warranty. Great service and easy fix. I'm grateful to my dealer for great service

CE-04, no start, no lights...help please..!

Hello friends. I have a 2022 CE-04 with 1,400 miles, no issues until now. After charging successfully last night, and disconnecting g the charger, as I have dozens of times, today the bike is totally dead; no dash lights, no start, unresponsive to charger. I tried both keys so not the battery in...

    Mirrors

Rizoma here too...much more modern aero design than OEM and top quality materials and construction. While the surface area of the mirror is smaller, for me, the field of vision is quite adequate.

I swapped out the OEM plastic for Rizoma and have been delighted. No regrets whatsoever

    remind me...when can I recharge my ce04

For optimum battery life, I keep my Tesla and my CE-04 charged, rarely more than 80% full charge, and never less than 20%. I've read from multiple sources that this strategy "stresses" the battery the least in normal use.

What purpose does the (ugly) plastic cover on the front wheel serve?

Good morning, friends, there is a plastic shield mounted from the factory which covers the front wheel disk brakes. I believe this is absent from other BMW scooters and certainly from all bikes. What purpose does this serve and I can it be removed without creating a safety or warranty risk?

    Ce04 charger

Yes, there is a sequence of steps to take. First, plug the charger into the power outlet, them secondly, power on the scoot, without pressing the start button, then plug in the charger to the female port behind heheh cover on the right, finally turn off the scoots power. Simple just takes a bit...

How to keep 12V aux battery charged..?

Good morning, friends. I believe that most (all?) EVs have a separate state 12V circuit/battery separate from the LI battery which powers the Electric propulsion motor. It's my understanding that if this smaller battery somehow goes flat, it's impossible to start the CE-04. Harley LiveWire...
